40. WHAT IS A ROAD TRIP?

"Well, she goddamn better be, because we got more important things to be dealing with right now!" Diego said out loud causing Stan to look at him "Calm down. Shh" Klaus said to Diego as Five sat down next to you so you were between him and Klaus.

"So that means that the boy is my cousin?" you asked "Well, technically he is" Five said "Can I go over and meet him?" you asked "Of course" Five nodded and you grabbed your plate and glass of juice before you walked over to Stan.

"Hey" you said and Stan looked at you "I'm Y/n, your cousin" you smiled "Hey Y/n, I'm Stanley, but you can call me Stan" Stanley said "Can I sit?" you asked "Of course" Stan said and you smiled as you sat down next to Stan.

"So who is your parents?" he asked "Well, my real parents are dead but Five have being taken care of me for as long as I can remember, he is the closest things I ever had to a parent" you explain and he nodded.

"Hey, can you keep a secret?" he asked "Yeah" you nodded "I'm not really your cousin" he said "You are not?" you asked and he shook his head "Lila just brought me here 'cause we are playing a prank on Diego making him think that I'm his son" he said before he looked at you "Don't tell anything to him" he said "I wouldn't" you took a sip of your juice.

Five glanced over at you to see you laughing at Stan making a funny face which caused him to smile "Nice to see her bonding with someone who is also a kid" Klaus said "Yeah. Sometimes she acts more like an adult than a kid. It's nice to see her act like a little girl again" Five smiled.

Then Vanya walked towards the table "Where's Luther?" she asked "Who cares? Probably out for...a run" Diego said as he paused for a second when he noticed her short hair.

"Mmm!" Klaus said as he swallowed his coffee "Love the haircut" he said as he waved his hand at her and she smiled.

"You look pretty, V" you said and Vanya smiled.

"So, I, uh, talked to Marcus last night" she said "Wait, what? You talked with the enemy? By yourself?" Diego asked her "Somebody had to do something" Vanya said "Who elected you, Vanya?" Diego asked "It's, uh, Viktor" Vanya said "Who's Viktor?" Diego asked.

There was silence for a few seconds before she spoke up "I am" she said and you all looked at her understanding what she meant by that.

Viktor looked at his family hesitantly as they remained silent while they processed the information "Uh, is that an issue for anyone?" he asked and Klaus let out a chuckled.

"Nah, I'm good with it" Diego said "Yeah, me too. Cool" Klaus said as he put some nuts into his mouth before eating them "I think it's cool" you said and Viktor smiled.

"Truly happy for you, Viktor" he said and Viktor looked at him before Five raised his brows "But last time I checked, you don't speak for this family" he said.

"Okay, it's fine, okay? Marcus totally gets it" Viktor said as he sat down between Diego and Five "He doesn't want a war any more than we do" Viktor said "What are you talking about? He tried to homicide us!" Diego said "So did Lila. And you had a kid with her" Klaus said "That's not the point" Diego said as he turned to Klaus. 

"We made a deal. He's gonna give back Five's briefcase, then we're gonna get out of the timeline. I'm gonna meet him later today for the, uh, the handover" Viktor said and Five let out a smile while Klaus clapped his hands in relief "Oh, thank God!" he said.

"That's a rookie move. Dude is playing you" Diego said "Oh, really?" Viktor asked as he was looking at Diego "Yeah, but maybe we can use this. And we turn it back on them, and then we wipe them the hell out" Diego said "Diego, stop, please. And you're not gonna, like, do anything today" Viktor said.
