09 - Two days from now

I stood around silently and watched as Kaede conversed the the students who decided to stay. Those students were some I actually liked.. well maybe not Himiko but she's not all bad. The least likely to kill someone. Oh, and Gonta too. I was waiting for the blonde to make a trip around to me, but she never did. She and Shuichi moved away from the rest of us, huddled close together.

Shuichi headed out the door without Kaede, who I accidentally made eye contact with. I guess she finally wants to speak to me huh? "We're going to check the library out. It's about the shelf," Kaede whispered. This has to be what they were talking about. "Shuichi wanted you to come with. How about it?"

Wanted? Like, he wants me to be there? I expected her to take me with them, not for Shuichi to want me to be there. she could be lying but.. "how sweet of you to ask. Yeah, I'm going!" I exclaimed lowly. She smiled and walked out the door with me. Glad I didn't have to leave alone.

Shuichi wasted no time getting ready to explain when we made it to the library. He told Kaede and me to look at the card reader. The dust he sprinkled there before was gone! The detective thought it had something to do with that stupid bear coming back to life. What a pain.

" And then there's what Monokuma just told us..." I guess he's referring to the recent motive. "The way he phrased it was peculiar. Why not just say 'everyone will die'?" The detective raised a hand to his mouth.

"I think you're overthinking it, no?" I butted in. I didn't find the way he worded it weird. Everything here is weird! You're worried about how he worded some speech? "No, listen.. He went out of his way to specify that students "forced to participate" will die." Shuichi explained. When you really look into it, I guess it's oddly specific to say something like that.

"My deduction is that one of us volunteered to participate and wasn't forced. That would mean that they would avoid execution without breaking any rules." Shuichi explained further. That makes total sense now! They'd get out of execution without repercussions since they're not playing. Shuichi, you're a genius!

Shuichi continued to talk about one of us not only working with Monokuma but supplying Monokuma, Essentially being the mastermind. Another reason we have to keep our mouths shut about this door. I'm good at keeping secrets but we have all the info we need to know. We could take them out!

"So...what do you plan to do now, Shuichi? We're gonna find this mastermind, right?" Kaede asked the detective in thought. " I'm...thinking of taking the risk, just before time expires. I believe the mastermind will come here just before time is up, and I can expose them." This is so awesome sauce! We'll beat the mastermind for reals and then go home. For real this time. Definitely.

Shuichi talked about waiting for the mastermind to use the door to make more Monokumas. He was only going based on what Monokuma said earlier and didn't sound too sure about what he was talking about, but he's the only one with some knowledge around here and he is a detective after all. 

 "I'm willing to take it. It's better than just sitting around, waiting to die." He said with his hand still covering his mouth, muffling his words.

"Yeah... I'll take that risk with you!" Kaede of course enthused. 

"Ah, but...Kaede, this is just *my* deduction, it's possible that I'm wrong..."

"Scratch that, cap boy. You didn't get your title for nothing," I decided to do what Kaede does best, encourage people. Clearly, Saihara doesn't have much confidence in himself. Kaede held out a fist towards me, presumably for a fist bump. 

"You told us about this so that means you trust us, right? So.. we'll trust you too," Shuichi looked away from the blonde with flushed cheeks. I agreed with her even though I nowhere near said that, but it could be implied.. sure.

"..I mean, I don't have a good idea of my own so obviously I'll help you with yours."

"Ha, I don't either.."

" Okay, then! Let's expose the mastermind together! All three of us!" 

This is gonna work out just fine.

Trying to follow the story but these parts are sooooo boring wahhh. Trying to write friendship stuff before ykh dies so I can be all dramatic later huzzahhhhh. And excuse any mistakes I'm losing brain cells by the second. 

Oh ya, free time is next. Wonder who we'll spend it with.
