I woke to the gentle rustling of leaves and the sweet scent of strawberries, the midday sun casting a warm glow over the lush field where I had fallen. I lay still for a moment, my mind reeling from the nightmare that had gripped me during my unconsciousness.
In my dream, Malhun, had loomed over me with a menacing glare, her hands positioned on the bow and arrow, poised to strike. The fear had felt all too real, a stark reminder of the underlying tension that simmered between us. My heart still pounded in my chest as I tried to shake off the remnants of that dark vision.
"Bala Ana!, Bala Ana wake up!" Ahmet's urgent voice cut through my thoughts. I turned my head to see him kneeling beside me, his face etched with worry. His fimhands shook me gently, trying to rouse me from my sleep.
"I'm here, Ahmet'm," I whispered, reaching out to touch his cheak. The warmth of his skin brought me a sense of relief. "I'm awake."Ahmet's eyes glistened with unshed tears. "I was very worried, I thought something bad had happened to you."I sat up slowly, wincing as I felt a slight ache in my head. "I'm alright, my dear. It was just a bad dream."As I regained my bearings, Me and Ahmet finally pick some strawberries and head back to the tribe. Right as we enter and take our horses to the stable Malhun popped out of no where, her expression unreadable. The sight of her brought back the vivid images from my nightmare, and my heart tightened with a mix of fear and anger.
"Bala?" Malhun greeted, her voice calm yet carrying an edge. "I heard you fainted. Are you well?"
I forced a smile, though it didn't reach my eyes. "Yes, thank you, Malhun. It was just a moment of weakness."Malhun's gaze flickered to Ahmet, then back to me. "You should be more careful. We wouldn't want anything to happen to you."There was an undertone to her words that made me uneasy. "I'll keep that in mind," I replied, my voice steady. The tension between us was palpable, an unspoken understanding that our relationship was fraught with challenges. As Malhun turned and walked away, I couldn't help but feel a lingering sense of threat. I needed to be vigilant.
Later that evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue over our village, Osman returned from his day's work. He enters our tent and instantly my heart is swelling with loved relief. He was my anchor, the one person who made everything seem right, even amidst the turmoil. Even after all we have been through.
"Osman," I called softly as he approached. He smiled, his eyes lighting up at the sight of me. "Bala, my love," he greeted, pulling me into a warm embrace. His strong arms encircled me, and I rested my head against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat."I missed you," I murmured, my voice muffled against his tunic.Osman kissed the top of my head, his thumb gently my cheek in circular motion. "And you, my dearest. How was your day?"I hesitated, my thoughts returning to the nightmare and the encounter with Malhun. But in this moment, I wanted to focus on the love I shared with Osman. "It had its challenges," I admitted, "but now that you're here, everything feels better."Osman pulled back slightly, cupping my face in his hands. "Whatever troubles you, we'll face it together. You're my heart, Bala. Never forget that."Tears welled up in my eyes, and I leaned into his touch, feeling the depth of his love. "I love you, Osman. More than words can say."He kissed me then, a tender and passionate kiss that spoke of our bond and our shared strength. In his arms, I found solace and hope, knowing that no matter the conflicts that arose, our love would always prevail.
As we stood there, wrapped in each other's embrace, I silently vowed to protect our love from any threats, no matter how daunting. With Osman by my side, I felt invincible, ready to face whatever the future held..
