Lucifer's fatherly pondering, alas, was soon interrupted by a less welcome sight.
The fruity aroma of grape wine tore away at the tender sight of father and son, as a man hidden under a cut shadow, leaning against a tall pillar, encapsulated the two under his fervent gaze. It seems the Judge of the Heavens himself could also be caught up in deep affection, so much so that he did not notice the masked figure who had just intruded this surreptitious meeting.
"Oh my~ What a splendidly caring side you have been hiding, Luci-chan! You know~ it wouldn't hurt to express yourself more often~"
The tenderness inside Lucifer's eyes instantly died as he heard a sultry, melodic voice. His now cold eyes shifted the moment Dionysus started speaking, as he held his frozen son a little closer in his arms, letting a snap of excitement erupt inside The Drunken God.
"..Dionysus," the Angel started, his voice clear and cut from any emotion, "Do you have any business with me?"
Dionysus fought the urge to grin under his Venetian-style mask. 'That statement sounded very menacing despite the usually monotone and emotionless voice.' "Ah~ Why yes! I was worried, very worried in fact, for the both of you!" Dionysus exclaimed in an unusually serious tone, both arms clutching onto his chest.
Lucifer regarded the other god with a cool gaze, holding as much emotion as his voice. "I assure you, there's no need for-"
"Ah, but there is! Overwork can take its toll on even the mightiest of angels! Don't forget that staying in good health is paramount, whether it's in mind or body~" Dionysus replied calmly. His rosey-pinkish eyes matched the steely coldness of his silver pupils as they stared Dionysus down.
"I appreciate your concern, but it's wasted on me-"
"I will have to agree with Dionysus." The stern voice of Ascelpius caught both men's attention as the head doctor of Ragnarok approached them. Lucifer shook his head ever so slightly.
"There's really no need..."
Asclepius raised a finger in objection. "Both you and young Tsukuyomi require some rest... Well, the boy needs more than that."
"Exactly! I'm certain that having his beloved father at his side when he wakes up will be a wonderful surprise for Tsu-chan~" Dionysus added cheerily.
"Enough chit chat. The boy urgently needs medical attention." Asclepius turned his gaze to Tsukuyomi with a grimace.
Finally relenting, Lucifer let out a slight and resigned sigh. "...Very well...I'll wait by his side until he's stable."
With that, the group of gods left towards the medical chambers, a clearly stressed Asclepius hurrying them along.
"Tch... what the hell are you planning Dionysus?" An unamused voice reverberated from behind. A familiar Greek god of Doom stood a few distances behind Dionysus, an unpleasant expression etched to his face.
"Oh~ If it isn't Mor-chan. Fancy seeing you here— were you also worried for Tsu-Chan? That's so sweet of you!" Dionysus teased, cupping his mouth with a hand and swooning. Moros gaped, the question catching him completely off guard.
Indignant, he sputtered, "H-huh?! What the fuck are you on?"
"Hmm, am I wrong? Why else would you come here-"
"As if! I don't give a fuck about that weak bastard!" An angered aura flooded the corridor, dark clouds forming around the god. Sparks of lightning flashed through the air, none hitting the god of wine— who only had a smile expectantly on his face.
The older god cleared the air and dropped it. "Fuck off!" And instead, left himself.
"Heh, you're too easy Mor-chan~" Saying that, Dionysus finally left the corridor as well.
