The last Limitless user… that was his dad. Namikaze Minato, the Fourth Hokage. Did that mean…?
“You taught my dad?!” Naruto asked and Jiraiya triumphantly nodded.
“He's my greatest pride! It's another reason why I should teach you, I think it's what your dad would have wanted, right? His very own teacher, teaching his son. Minato was sentimental like that.” The man beamed at the memory of his late student, and Naruto smiled at the thought of his dead father.
“That's not all. I have informed Jiraiya of your encounter with Orochimaru in TG-44, one of the other members of the Sannin. I don't believe there is another shinobi more familiar with that snake's abilities than Jiraiya, and since you possess such valuable kekkei genkai, Orochimaru will certainly be after you. You need to learn to fight against him, and you will do that with Jiraiya.” Hiruzen further elaborated, and it made sense to Naruto, despite how sudden this whole situation was.
“So how about it, kid? Will you have me as your trainer?” Jiraiya asked, and Naruto hesitated.
Not because he didn't want to accept the offer, of course it wasn't like that. Jiraiya was one of his biggest idols when he was younger, a kid who became a war hero through hard work - Naruto would love to work with him. That wasn't it.
Rather, he was in stunned disbelief. This was such a strange situation that as a kid, Naruto would only be able to dream about. But once he grew out of his shock, a huge grin adorned his face.
“Abso-fucking-lutely.”

The Sannin and the Genin made their way to TG-7, the typical field that Team 7 used as their practising hub. Naruto could only follow along in total awe of the man in front of him, but as time went on, the situation became more normal until Naruto didn't even see the legend, he only saw Jiraiya.
They stopped in the middle of the field, surrounded by a forest, and Jiraiya quickly pulled out two scrolls from another storage scroll, and Naruto recognised them both.
They were the red and green scrolls that Hiruzen had given him after the Land of Waves incident, as characterised by their golden numberings of 2 and 3 respectively.
“Huh? I swear I kept those scrolls at home, how do you have them?” Naruto asked, and Jiraiya scoffed.
“I was Minato's teacher, you don't think he'd give me copies of those scrolls?”
“Ah, right. Obviously.” Naruto blinked. “So what are we using them for?”
Jiraiya sat down on the ground, and Naruto did the same, before explaining. “Well, I'm guessing you could utilise Blue well enough to survive Orochimaru, so as far as I'm concerned, you can't improve it much more than it is currently. So I want to move on, to the other two states of Limitless.”
“Right… Infinity and Red right? But I'm pretty good at Infinity.” Naruto said, and Jiraiya shook his head.
“You aren't good enough. Orochimaru was able to stab you, and nearly kill you if it weren't for the Nine Tails. You need to significantly strengthen your Infinity if you want to survive another battle with him.” Jiraiya gave Naruto the harsh reality, and the boy sighed.
“Fair enough. So should we learn Red or Infinity first?” He asked and Jiraiya quickly pointed to the red scroll, which seemingly gave Naruto his answer.
“To learn Red is to learn the reverse cursed technique. It's the only reason you are still alive, and why you generally have such a fast healing factor. When you almost died in the Land of Waves, it was RCT that saved you. When Orochimaru stabbed you, RCT saved you once again. You need it if you wish to progress.” Jiraiya explained, and Naruto nodded.
