064. Malicious Overrun
Boom!
Just as the two were chatting and laughing, a rocket came shooting toward the Cannibal and Zhu Baiya.
[Swift Horse Prime]
The plugin activated, heat fins popped out from both sides of Zhu Baiya's skull, and time seemed to slow down countless times. His body burst out with terrifying speed, escaping the kill radius.
The Cannibal slowly raised his head, appearing extremely 'slow,' without any movement, taking the rocket hit head-on.
Boom—
Flames and smoke billowed, and the Frost-Plated special police who had occupied a distant position threw down the launcher, skillfully ducking back into cover, activating the life detection plugin, and reporting on the communicator:
"Captain Nimotin, I have hit the target, detecting life traces, no life signals detected in the strike area..."
Even a Beta rank (β, second Greek letter) powerhouse could perish under the immense firepower of modern technology if not careful.
'I did a great job this time. That woman won't kill me and then take the credit for herself, right...?'
Before the special police officer's thoughts settled, a powerful life signal suddenly approached quickly.
Beep beep beep beep beep beep!
"Where did this come from?"
The red dot on the targeting radar instantly froze at the center of the screen, and the warning sound continuously merged into a single tone.
In his panic, he suddenly thought of something and subconsciously looked up.
Wham—Bang!
A pitch-black giant shadow fell from the sky like a meteor, instantly hitting the iron tower used for storm observation, which was crushed like a paperclip into a ball of scrap metal.
Splatter!
The special police officer's exoskeleton and implants were ejected from his body in the intense impact. The Cannibal raised his fierce claws, pulling out his spinal column along with mechanical lungs and a chrome-plated stomach from his neck. The pale blue coolant and neutralizer quickly solidified and froze in the cold wind of the Outer Territories.
The entangled electronic nerves emitted a crimson glow. Even though separated from the flesh, faint sounds could be heard between the vertebrae from the communicator:
"Sha... shasha... Li Mulin, report your physical condition..."
Crack.
With a slight wrist twist, the frozen spine was instantly crushed inch by inch.
"An alloy body, as fragile as glass in the cold wind."
The Cannibal elegantly murmured as if reciting poetry. Under the intact black robe, steroids and adrenaline were rapidly injected into his veins. He spread his arms like a devil unfurling its wings.
"Over here! Li Mulin is dead!"
Other Frost-Plated special police immediately noticed this eerie giant radiating a terrifying aura.
His body, more robust than a rhinoceros, did not appear insignificant in the blowing white snow and yellow sand. Instead, it accentuated his formidable and fierce stature.
"Open fire!"
The Frost-Plated special police did not hesitate, pulling the trigger, and bullets of various calibers rained down on the Cannibal's body like a torrential downpour.
