Mellissa smirked, enjoying the lighthearted exchange with her father. She knew all too well about his history with cooking, or the lack thereof. With a lighthearted shrug, she playfully teased, "Yeah, sure, you're learning. I'll believe it when I taste something edible coming from our kitchen."

David clutched his chest in theatrical despair, his expression comically exaggerated. "Such skepticism! Your words wound me deeply," he exclaimed, feigning pain in a melodramatic fashion. Despite the playful banter, he knew deep down that his cooking skills were far from impressive. "One day, young lady, I shall surprise you with a meal that will leave you speechless."

David let out another hearty chuckle at Mellissa's sassy comeback. He conceded defeat with a grin, acknowledging the truth in her words.

David, his mind already working overtime at his daughter's playful challenge, smirked mischievously. The wheels in his head began turning, formulating a plan for his next project. "When pigs fly, huh..." he echoed with amusement. Then, with a playful glint in his eye, he announced, "Looks like I know what my next project is going to be." His voice held a mixture of determination and humor, showcasing his competitive nature and love for a good challenge.

"And trust me," he continued, a sly smile on his face, "You'll be eating your words along with the delicious meal I'll create." Mr. Shield was not one to back down from a challenge, especially when it involved proving his daughter wrong. He was already envisioning the look of surprise on her face when she tasted his culinary creation.

yeah sure now if youll excuse me im going to go eat something actually edible

Mr. Shield let out a hearty laugh at his daughter's playful remark. He knew when he was defeated and gracefully accepted her playful jibe. "Yeah, sure," he said with a good-natured grin. "Go enjoy something edible. I'll be here plotting my next culinary masterpiece." His voice held a hint of mock resignation, feigning disappointment yet secretly enjoying the banter.

With a final exchange of playful banter, Mellissa bid farewell to her father and headed out to the juice bar. The front door closing behind her marked the end of their lighthearted conversation.

As she stepped outside, the cool evening air welcomed her, providing a nice contrast to the cozy ambiance of the house. Taking a moment to appreciate the fresh air, Mellissa began her journey to the juice bar, her thoughts filled with anticipation for the refreshing beverage and nothing else absolutely nothing else.

ELSEWHERE

two bullies stood towering over a band geek, their menacing presence instilling fear in their victim. The atmosphere was tense as the bullies demanded the band geek hand over all the money he had in his possession.

"Hand over your cash, nerd!" the first bully demanded, his voice filled with menace. He leaned in closer, trying to intimidate the band geek. The second bully circled around, closing any escape routes.

The band geek, a quivering and frightened figure, desperately protested. "I i don't have any," he managed to stammer out, his voice betraying the terror he felt. However, his words fell on deaf ears as the bullies continued their aggressive approach.

The first bully, clearly not satisfied with the band geek's answer, leaned in even closer, invading his personal space. "You better not be lying to us," he growled, his voice taking on a menacing tone. "We don't like it when people try to play us for fools."

The second bully chimed in, his tone equally threatening. "Yeah, we'll make you regret it if you're holding out on us." The two bullies exchanged a glance, confident in their intimidation tactic. They had the band geek cornered and outnumbered, and they were fully prepared to take what they wanted by force.
