11 - investigation !

Everyone, except Miu, Kiyo, and Ryoma, was rightfully scared. Kokichi might've been lying, he's horrible at fake crying. "Thanks to the First Blood Perk, there won't be a class trial, so that'd just be a waste of time," Monokuma announced. I forgot about that. So we're going to live amongst a murder? This is so messed up..

Everyone was discussing. Nothing but useless accusations and words were spat out, Monokuma wasn't making things any better. No one is going to admit to killing someone.. I wish it was that simple. No seriously, I really wished the killer just admitted it. Now we have to participate in whatever a class trial is.

The weird deranged bear family left after telling us that we needed to investigate for the trial. So, this is like court? It would be if this room wasn't filled with helpless teenagers accusing each other. I can't blame them, I don't want to be eradicated either.

"For now...we need to trust each other and start a serious investigation." Shuichi stepped forward. This is new..? " If we all lose our trust in one another because of this...it's all over! We have to believe in each other and investigate this case."

"Easier said than done, Saihara.." I pressed my lips together. We are terrified, one of our classmates is dead cold on the floor, and now we're expected to investigate for a chance to live? Scratch that!

"Investigating is the same thing as not trusting each other," Miu sassily pointed out. That sentence didn't make any sense, but Shuichi went on to explain anyway. "He wants us to throw accusations at one another, and lose all trust in each other... And we... can't let him get what he wants. We need to investigate this murder. Not because we don't trust each other but because we do"

And the crowd goes completely silent.

"Ah...did I...say something wrong?" Shuichi said, sweating bullets at this point. I think he's sweatier now than when we discovered Rantaro's corpse. I looked towards Kaede and watched her smile. In the midst of all this, she's smiling. "You were just so.. direct and assertive," she said.

"Yeah.. and corny," I whispered loud enough for him to hear me. He squinted in my direction and focused back on Kaede. "Ah, no, I just...said what was on my mind..." and with Shuichi's cornball speech, everyone was back on track. One of these days, I'll have to give a speech like that just to see people's reactions.

Monokuma came back to ruin our happy-- oh wait no he gave us something. It was a Monokuma file. It contained all the information about Rantaro, including his.. chest size? Yikes... It also gave us the estimated time of death, where the body was found, how he died, and his injuries. This was actually super useful. The unsettling part was all that other information.

Kaede explained our once-secret plan to everyone and Shuichi retrieved all of our hidden cameras. "Here. It's these three cameras. Now, we just have to develop the film..." which we weren't going to do because we were interrupted by that stupid pink bear. She took our cameras! Well, we have no choice but to trust her.. what else could we do?

Within our huddled-up group, Shuichi pulled Kaede to the side. I didn't mean to stare, I just felt kinda.. left out? Weren't we like a trio? I wanna be included too. I guess I'm the only one who didn't hear cuz Kokichi and Tsumugi sure did. Maybe I need to mind my damn business.

And with Kiruimi's suggestion to split and search, that's exactly what we did. Maybe it would be better if I didn't follow Kaede around. Maybe I was getting too attached. Wow, thanks for dying Rantaro. Your death was an eye-opener. I wasn't going to search the library, the partners in crime have that. I caught a glimpse of Kaede talking to Ryoma before I left the library.
