Borrowed Time Part 2

Chapter 230

She really did feel kinda bad about that even if Penny had made comments about how she wanted it to happen again, even with the looks that Penny had given both her and Esme this morning... She still felt bad. No one should have to see that without expecting it, it's a jarring thing.

"Dude, I felt so bad that I'd forgotten to lock the door." She groaned, and Shelby snorted, patting her hips when she was done zipping it up so that Juliette knew to step forward, which she quickly did.

"Why feel bad? She didn't mind it at all, trust me." Shelby said and Juliette sighed, shaking her head ... Whether Penny minded it or not was not actually her problem right now, her problem came from the fact that Penny had not meant to see any of that - sure, she might've liked how Juliette looked, that didn't mean that it was something that was good.

"Right, but-." She didn't get to finish her sentence, a pattern that she had become very familiar with over many years with Shelby as a friend - she didn't mean to interrupt, she just had a lot to say all the time.

It was okay with her.  She liked hearing Shelby's voice.

"She thinks you're really hot." Juliette paused... Like, she obviously knew that Penny thought that, she hadn't really been that quiet about it, but it just wasn't something that she often thought about.  Penny Elmwood thinks I'm hot.  Shelby nudged her lightly, giving her a grin. "She's not wrong." Juliette rolled her eyes and sighed, shaking her head.

"Okay, enough-." Shelby's expression softened then, and she squeezed Juliette's hand lightly.

"I won't bully you about it if it's a sore subject right now, but I just need you to know that if there was anything she was feeling in that moment, it was not discomfort from being like... Grossed out." Shelby said, and Juliette nodded, letting out a breath of relief  - like, that wasn't so much what she was worried about, but it was still comforting to hear that Penny hadn't been freaked out by it.  "It was discomfort from being horny." Oh.  That... Well... She didn't really know what to say to that.

It wasn't a surprise, but she never wouldn't be shocked when someone was sexually attracted to her, especially someone as beautiful and kind as Penny.

"... Oh." She gasped, and Shelby chuckled, shaking her head as she looked down at her. 

"Why is that shocking?" Because it is?

"Because I don't understand my sexual appeal, you know that." Juliette reminded her, earning her a look from Shelby.

"Well, you've got it." Well... That just didn't seem true now did it?

"Mmm..."

"That's not even debatable at this point, because I'm pretty sure that everyone who isn't Tegan or Micheal in this group would go for it." Shelby reminded her, and Juliette grimaced... Now, that was not something that she agreed with, she was pretty sure that that was just a sign that none of them had good taste in women, they all needed professional help.

"... You guys must have bad taste." That was really the only solution.  Shelby sighed, hanging her head before she picked it up again.

"Juliette?" She asked, her tone coming out dangerously sweet.

"Hm?" 

"Shut the hell up." Oh. Okay. "I'm gonna get changed."

"What're you wearing?" She asked, and Shelby gestured for her to turn around, which was rude.  She could've just answered the question and spared the guessing game.
