Chapter 8: Lessons

Start from the beginning

Qiao Zijing cried out in pain, clutching her arm.

The others shuddered, their eyes wide as they stared at Lin Xingzhu.

What were they seeing?

Lin Xingzhu was actually using the rope to whip Qiao Zijing?!

Shang Zengrou, watching from the doorway, felt as if her eyes were about to pop out; she never expected Lin Xingzhu to handle things this way!

Seemingly unsatisfied, Lin Xingzhu smiled and struck her left hand with the rope again, creating a matching wound.

"Crack!"

"Ah—!"

The cries of pain and the sound of the whip came almost simultaneously.

Lin Xingzhu didn't hold back at all; treating someone like Qiao Zijing, who was comparable to an animal, with any restraint would be an insult to the rope.

She coldly observed Qiao Zijing's agony, unaffected.

Tn note~
Goodness I wish I was Qiao Zijing in this situation xD

Lin Xingzhu could understand that these people sought pleasure in a consensual club, but she could not tolerate any coercion or violence that disregarded the wishes of the parties involved.

What a bullshit "hobby"!

Even if one had their own preferences, it had to be consensual.

The woman kneeling beside Qiao Zijing was someone Lin Xingzhu had frequently visited, who used to be quite favored by her, which was why Qiao Zijing sought her out for revenge.

From Shang Zengrou, Lin Xingzhu learned that Qiao Zijing had also been here a few days ago looking for some of the girls Lin Xingzhu had previously favored, and what she did was self-evident.

Lin Xingzhu tilted her head, bending down to help the kneeling woman up, signaling for her to leave first.

Once the victim had gone, Lin Xingzhu straightened up, scanned the room, and casually asked while holding the pure black rope handle, "Was the scene entertaining? Are you entertained?"

Everyone: "..."

They instinctively glanced at the groaning Qiao Zijing and shook their heads in unison.

"Tsk." Lin Xingzhu tossed the rope aside, unconcerned, and walked past the limp Qiao Zijing toward Shang Zengrou, who stood at the door.

Shang Zengrou's face was slightly stiff: "... Xing, Xingzhu."

The weight of the gazes behind her felt tangible as Lin Xingzhu turned her head, a beam of faint light reflecting in her amber eyes, clear and pure.

"Close the door," she said softly.

All sound was cut off inside. In the club's first floor, people scrambled in a panic, with some among them straight-backed and dignified in black attire.

As the deep colors faded, the cool night breeze blew, and Shang Zengrou regained some composure.

She hesitated, "Did you call the police?"

"Hmm?" Lin Xingzhu replied.

Shang Zengrou retracted her gaze, knowing it must have been Lin Xingzhu's doing.

She turned to glance back at the dark sign, "I bet the owner is going to be devastated..."

Rubbing her goosebumps, her gaze fell on the tall woman ahead.

When did Lin Xingzhu become so imposing? Shang Zengrou puzzled over it.

Suddenly, Lin Xingzhu stopped in her tracks.

Shang Zengrou thought she might have accidentally muttered her thoughts aloud and felt a chill run down her spine.

Fortunately, Lin Xingzhu didn't seem to notice her speculation.

She turned and handed Shang Zengrou a card from her pocket. Under the heavy night, her voice, brushed by the wind, held a subtle gentleness, "Take this card and distribute the money inside to those who were scared over the past few days."

Shang Zengrou took it, stunned, "Why don't you do it yourself?"

The moment she asked, she realized how foolish the question was.

Of course, she didn't want to go herself!

Unexpectedly, Shang Zengrou thought of Bai Xiying.

Strangely, even though the thought of Lin Xingzhu with the alluring Bai Xiying made her heart sour, it seemed to extinguish any feelings of anger.

Lin Xingzhu, unaware of her internal struggle, considered the matter settled after handing over the card.

The card contained a substantial sum to compensate the girls who had been frightened and hurt recently. This was the only thing Lin Xingzhu could do right now.

They could take the money and leave the club, or choose to stay, but that was no longer her concern.

In the silent underground parking lot, the sudden ringing of a cellphone sounded unusually clear.

Lin Xingzhu swiped her phone open, "Hello."

"Lin Xingzhu..."

A soft voice came through, tinged with an almost imperceptible tremor.

Lin Xingzhu instinctively furrowed her brows, softening her tone, "It's me. What's up?"

There was a pause on the other end, as if the caller hesitated.

Then Lin Xingzhu heard a stammered plea, low and trembling.

"C-Can you... come keep me company for a bit..."
