Chapter 14

With what happened with Joe and Matty I'm lost.

I can't love her now. I can't deal with another heartbreak.

But what if she's the one?

No Taylor, don't be stupid, she's a stranger.

But maybe it's already too late? Why do I have this stupid high school crush on this girl. It's not like if she likes me back. I don't even know her personally.

All I know is that I want to know her. I want her to know me. I want to protect her and make sure she's always safe.

August 7th 2023

The show is amazing tonight. I enjoy it a bit less knowing that my mom and sisters are in the hotel room or somewhere in town instead of here with us.

We're going back home on the 11th. We decided to enjoy the town a bit more. We all need a break from our lives and being here all together allows us to breathe. Dad wasn't too happy about it but he's not the one who paid so he doesn't have a say in this. We just have to hope everything will be okay when we come back and that he didn't drink too much.

I catch Taylor looking in my direction a few times again. It still makes me blush every time she does. But now that I know what happened all those months behind my back I feel something else. Like little butterflies in my stomach. Which is stupid since we don't really know each other personally. We met once, twice if the other night counts which I doubt.

We're dressed up with out Sunshine and Midnight rain dresses.

Evi and I are dancing on Karma when I feel a pat on my shoulder. I turn around and get surprised when I see...the exact same security guy as the previous times. I look at him with a look of confusion on my face. I turn to check if Evin had hidden me something else. But I can't describe my surprise when she seems as shocked as I am.

"Misses, could you please follow me?" We both nod and walk behind him.

"Where are we going exactly?"

The man doesn't answer but I can see a small smile on his lips.

Evin starts shaking my arm vigorously when we notice a door that seems to lead backstage on our way.

That's when the security man speaks up. "Third door on the left, Miss Swift should be joining you any minute"

"Wait what???" He smiles.

"You heard me, now go ahead" He says as we hear the song coming to an end.

We enter the hallway and walk towards the door the security guy told us. Evin is the first one to enter the room, she turns on the light and looks at me with a smile. I quickly follow her into the room and my eyes scan around.

No one is in the room. There's a maroon couch against a wall, a vanity with a few makeup furniture on it.

Evin walks towards the couch and sits on it. I carefully follow her, standing next to the couch. Silence feeling the room and the whole stadium. Taylor must have left the stage and so are doing the fans.

"This is very cosy. You should buy a sofa like this."

"Good luck. It's handmade, must have been really expensive."

I turn around and see a tall blonde standing in the doorway. I try my best not to freak out.

Evin is the first one of us speaking up. "Hi Taylor" The said singer walks towards us, still wearing her Midnights body suit.

"Evin, nice to see you again" She greets my friend by taking her in an embrace. She then pulls away and looks at me. "Hi"

She seems a bit shy. It's cute. She is cute.
