I slowly opened my eyes,
blinking against the oppressive darkness that pressed in from every side. The air was cold, dense, and suffocating as if the void itself had wrapped its icy tendrils around my lungs. Each breath was shallow and strained, like I was inhaling through a veil of smoke, unsure if the next would come. The silence was deafening, an eerie absence of sound that gnawed at my thoughts.

Where am I?

A faint glow pierced the gloom, drawing my attention. There it was again, a familiar sight: the orb, hovering just beyond my reach. Its white surface flickered, glitching like a broken signal with those same unnatural colors, red, blue, and purple, swirling in and out of existence. It pulsed as if it though were alive, and beating in time.

It's the same glitch as before.

But this time it felt... different.

Stronger. The colors were sharper, and more vivid, as if they were tearing through the darkness itself. The flickering was no longer just a distortion; it felt more alive, pulsing with a strange intensity that gnawed at the edges of my mind.

This place shouldn't be real.

No, this place was real, too real. The chill that seeped into my bones, the suffocating stillness wasn't a dream or an illusion. I knew this place. I had walked in these dark abysses before.

Silence and darkness surround me, as my mind wanders. Then out of nowhere, this lone bright white ball emerges in front of me, the only source of light. Drawn by its beauty and my curiosity, I slowly approach it and try to touch it but I hesitate.

As I got closer, around the bright white ball started to appear a glitch-like square in shades of purple, red, and blue. It's like it's trying to get my attention, telling me to touch it.

I had been to this place before. That much I knew for sure.

The vast, dark expanse stretched endlessly around me, the glitching light floating just ahead, red, blue, and purple, pulsing like a heartbeat. It was all too familiar. Every flicker, every shift of color sent a wave of déjà vu crashing over me, a memory buried deep yet clawing its way to the surface.

But none of this could be real. It shouldn't be real. The oppressive void, the broken light one of it made sense.

Then, like a sudden shockwave, it hit me. A wave of all too familiar memories came rushing back, sharply. The pulsing light flickered again, casting broken, distorted shadows across the endless abyss. And as I stared at it, everything began to piece together, like shards of a broken mirror slowly fitting into place.
