A rush of nervous feelings embarks when Y/n received a text message from Shuu. After they ran to each other a few weeks ago, she was slowly touched by Shuu's commitment to keep in touch with her. He thought that it would be fine to keep messaging her though he knew the fact that the chance to have her reply was super rare.
After all she did to him, from refusing to answer dozens of his messages, to claiming that she was still mad at him. She practically put him on a roller coaster ride, high speed and multiple loops. The young prince seemed to not have any resentful feelings towards her.
The anger turned into a wave of guilt and she may be willing to talk to him soon.
Shuu just told her that he would go to see the fireworks festival with the others and wished that she'd be there too. It tempted her for a bit but she remembered how she had a serious crime against him so why did she rush when school would start in two days? She could admit her wrongdoing later and say sorry, her mind and heart weren't ready for that yet.
To clear her mind from the thought of the boy named Fujiwara Shuu, she busiest herself polishing her nail and putting a sticker on it. While she was engrossed with the nail art, Daigo barged into the room and casually lay on her bed as if he own the damned room but on the bright side, the older brother didn't come in empty-handed, he actually brought two glasses of iced tea for them.
She studied him who was engrossed with his phone, probably typing something in his group chat. Whenever he was being all that sweet older brother, there was always something he wanted in return.
"Someone tries to look as charming as possible." He teased. He always had a good time giving some criticism here and there.
"I already am." She said and smiled once the top coat on her nail dried. "What do you think? Taupe as the base and black on the tip, flower stickers look good on them."
Daigo moved to check on her nails, she'd go ballistic if he said he totally didn't get what's so special about it but he decided to play along. "That's cool." He said, trying to sound as interested as possible. "So, does it mean that you're ready for the fireworks?"
"Did I say I would? I don't think so."
"Come on, everybody will be there. Even Shuu." He said and let a chuckle, "That guy sounded pretty reluctant before but I'm glad he changed his mind."
She didn't say a thing, starting to think about what should she do to make Daigo let her stay at home but her long silence made him take a one-sided option. "Ok, you'll join in. We'll meet the others at 5 under the clock tower."
Y/n lazily got on the train, she wasn't all that hyped up about seeing the fireworks, not if she needed to rack her brain to confront Shuu today. Daigo made her wear yukata as the dress code for today's gathering, she was already settled with a loosey trousers and a t-shirt but he sent her back to her room, much to her displeased.
It was already crowded there and the first thing she did was pouting and grabbing the hem of Daigo's sleeve. If he left her again, there would be no excuse for him. While expressing her feelings about the place, they eventually meet the others at the meeting point. Senichi was so thrilled to see her but the first thing he did after complimenting her appearance was ask her about Fuwa as if she owed him any explanation.
She gave him a cold shoulder and deliberately turned her head away. That action led her to set her eyes on Shuu who was standing with Hiroki and Kabashima. Shuu hadn't realised yet, that for this moment he took her interest the most.
Shuu in his yukata, did he realize how breathtaking he was? All she could do was lower her eyes.
Weeks felt like many months and it drove her to start wondering what it felt like if she held his hand, does it give the warmth it used to?
