Sage: it would be funny to see you become Force Captain one day. But I don't think you should be aiming for that; there are better things to do than leading... Especially in The Horde.
Kyle: What? But... Aren't you a force captain? Isn't that what you wanted to be?
Sage: I'm not a leader, nor did I ever want to be. But shadow weaver suggested I should be one to Hordak, and here I am with a stupid piece of metal on my chest...
He tugged on the badge as if to throw it away but kept it on. The three cadets look among themselves, confusing what he meant. Being a force Captain to them was everything—no other goal besides that. Lonnie, not having any of it, crossed her arms.
Lonnie: uh huh... So the thing we have all been working for all our lives is just something... That you don't want?
Sage: not really... It's just a title and a piece of metal... If anything, it's more paperwork.
Lonnie: How is fieldwork, anyway? I have memorized these halls and can walk through them blindfolded.
Sage paused momentarily, gazing at the ground while reflecting on his past missions. He recalled every detail of the locations he had visited and his actions, becoming lost in thought for about ten seconds before he finally spoke.
Sage: It's not exactly what you think. Regardless, it's okay. I should probably check on Catra now before Shadow Weaver.
Sage walked past them. The others looked at him confused, wondering what he'd been through, considering he was usually gone much longer than other Force captains. And for other unknown reasons to them.
Sage made it to Catra, but by the time he made it around the corner, Shadow Weaver was leaving clutching her head, which appeared to be in pain. But before she left, she looked toward him.
Shadow Weaver: Met me at my runestone...
Shadow Weaver seems to be speaking through her teeth, possibly fighting the pain of whatever is inflicting her. She continues to hover away, Sage getting closer to Catra.
Sage: huh... Didn't think you had it in you to fight back...
Catra: what?! You're worried for her?!
Sage: Not really... But I guess she went too long without her little Crystal...
Catra: Well, I'm sure she'll be fine, but seeing her hurt was pretty funny...
Sage: Catra...
Catra: What! It's true! She gets all evil, too.
However, Sage stops her by patting her head and scratching her right ear. Her tail puffs up, and Catra decks away quickly. She glares at him with a light blush.
Catra: you know, I hate that...
Sage: and it also stops you from being some villain... attend Force Captain orientation a little, okay? If we're going out on missions, you should know beforehand what's coming...
Catra crosses her arms and diverts her gaze, a soft pink blush tinting her cheeks while her tail fluffs slightly after being petted.
Catra: whatever... Maybe? It's just so boring...
Sage: Well, do it or not. You'll learn. But if you're confused about anything, don't come running to me.
Catra: Fine...
Catra looks annoyed but understands what he means; Sage then turns away, his thick tail thumping against the ground, a bit agitated.
Sage: I saw Shadow Weaver; I don't want her to get too cranky without me.
