All over because I wear gloves and everyone knows that my parents are paranormal investigators. I'm sure he started the rumor that I killed my birth parents and that I'm a demon myself.

It was a normal night of work, I came here straight after school. I didn't want to face my parents after what happened. Kids are cruel.
Laura took the brunt of it but still words hurt. People were constantly pointing out my gloves or sneaking whispers.
"Hey, you okay? You've been quiet since we got here". Laura's voice pulls me out of thoughts. "Yeah, just a lot on my mind."
Laura sighed as she started to stock the empty slots where varieties of cigarettes go behind the counter as I made the flowers pretty on the bouquet stand.
I always liked the white ones, they reminded me of angels.
The bell on the door ringed indicating customers just walked in. I turned to see Garrett and his friends but one of them I've never seen before. He had medium length blonde curly hair and blue eyes.
I couldn't help but stare. Until his gaze met mine, I quickly looked away from him and walked away towards the other side of the stand to continue what I was doing.
"Yo, Asher". Garrett shouts and I peaked up seeing the blonde boy again as he looked in the direction of Garrett. "Make sure you get Marlboro 25s this time".
His name is Asher, it's a beautiful name for a pretty boy. I moved around the stand again and saw Laura was helping Asher. He had on a jean jacket with bell bottom jeans and a white button up tucked into the jeans.
"Hey, Koda! Can you grab me a carton of Marlboro 25s? Dennis didn't put one up here". Laura calls out. I almost fell over when I turned on my feet heading towards the back for a carton.
I walked back with the carton in my hands as I was struggling to open them because of my damn gloves. When I got to the counter, I felt Asher look down at me when I used my teeth to take off my glove and open the carton.
I pulled out a pack handing it to Laura to scan and pushed the carton to Laura to restock the rest. I pulled my glove back on.
"That'll be 1.01$." Laura tells Asher. He kept his eyes on me when handing her the cash. "What's with the gloves?". He asks.
I look up at him, his baby blue eyes are so pure. "What's with the cigarettes?." I ask. The corner of Asher's lips turned up. "I asked you first."
"I asked you second". My lips spread into a soft smile when I looked away at Laura and she had the knowing smirk that she always gives to people. It either means: oh yeah? Or oh my God! He was flirting."Got the beer". Garrett interrupted the moment. I looked over seeing Nancy hung up on Garrett's side. She is a cheer captain and stuck up, kinda like Garrett.
I stepped away from the counter going back to one of the aisles to stock. The sound of the cash register went off as Laura checked them out and the bell to the door sounded shortly after.
I suddenly see Laura rounding the corner with a smile. "Okay, what was that?". She asks.
I laughed confused. "What was what? I brought you cigarettes, that was it". Laura shook her head then her finger. "No, you and Asher, I've never seen him talk to anyone but Garrett or Nancy." She got closer to me.
