"Savi as popular as you are in school, why is it that your attendance to parties are so minimal" Siddharth asked.

"Kyunki special hona chahiye,  like did you see the amount of people that were excited to see me and complimented me, of course they know who I am at school but it's a better party now that I showed up, making my appearances special" She grinned and Siddharth bowed down to her impressed.

Just  as Savi turned to grab a drink, Rajat appeared out of nowhere, holding two cups.

"Here," Rajat said, handing one to Siddharth and the other to Arjun before his eyes landed on Savi

The moment Rajat's eyes met Savi's, it felt like time slowed down. He hadn't seen her like this before—hair straightened, in a dress that highlighted her curves, eyes lined with dark kajal that made them seem deeper. His gaze lingered, taking her in with an intensity that was different from the playful, teasing looks he usually gave her. It was brief, but it left her feeling oddly breathless.

Savi took in Rajat's appearance, he was dressed in a casual black shirt and dark jeans, his white fitted T-shirt clinging to his torso, the sleeves hugging his biceps. Savi felt a sudden rush of something unfamiliar run through her, like a spark that ignited deep in her chest. She hadn't expected to feel it—hadn't even thought about how good Rajat looked tonight, the way his hair was slightly tousled and how he wasn't wearing his glasses.

Just then, Priyanka rejoined them, her eyes darting between Savi and Rajat. "Well, well," she said with a grin. "What's going on here?"

"Nothing," Savi said quickly, averting her gaze.

"Sure, nothing," Priyanka teased, winking at Rajat. He just rolled his eyes, pretending not to catch the implication.k

"Acha chalo we have to dance" Arjun clapped Rajat on the back, and Priya pulled Savi onto the dance floor.

All of them danced together, moving through the crowd each dancing animatedly while belting out each of the lyrics for as long as they could. Rajat, who wasn't much of a dancer, had danced for a bit before moving to the bar to stand with Siddharth and stayed there for most of the time. He wasn't a social person at all and only seemed to have come because his friends had convinced him to be outgoing at least for his final year of college.

His eyes slowly traveled over to Savi as she danced taking in the short pink dress that hugged her figure, the way her straightened hair fell around her shoulders, the slight sheen of sweat glistening on her skin.

Rajat took a step forward once there was a slower song playing and a few couples and friends paired up together. The music seemed to fade into the background as he extended a hand, his lips curling into a playful smirk.

"Dance with me?" he asked, his voice low, smooth.

Savi raised an eyebrow, trying to fight the smile that tugged at her lips. "You don't dance, Rajat."

He leaned closer, his breath warm against her ear as he murmured, "Maybe tonight I do."

Before she could respond, he took her hand, pulling her gently into the center of the dance floor. The music shifted to a slower, sultry beat, and the lights dimmed, casting them in soft shades of blue and purple. Savi felt her heart pound in her chest as Rajat's hand found its place on her lower back, pulling her close.

Her halter dress was backless and the heat of his palm burned against her skin. She circled her arms around his neck, feeling the muscles tense beneath her fingers as they started to sway together, moving to the slow rhythm.

"You're full of surprises tonight," Savi whispered, looking up into his eyes.

Rajat's lips quirked into a smile, but his eyes were darker now, intense. "You're one to talk," he replied, his gaze dipping down to her lips for a fraction of a second.
