Registering a new emotion as discomfort Vee nodded. as she as well wanted to see how the difference in dialect her changes would make, she had been wondering who she could pull away. It seemed that Shelly would be a good subject, vee sat down across from the other toon.

"Oh um how bout a dinosaur fact!" She was excited for maybe a split second before it was extinguished "oh but you already know them all" vee started writing and showed Shelly 'had a system reboot a lot of information was lost, most basic dinosaur facts remain but beyond common knowledge nothing else.....I would prefer you do not talk about raptors though'  while Shelly grew excited learning she could talk about dinosaurs with vee she found it odd about the last bit.

" Why nothing about them"

Vees good side flickered for a moment, a visual bug popped up mixed with the recording of her attack. Shelly watched as vees screen started filling with the word error and she freaked out "Vee?! Vee what's going on?!"

Her screen flashed blue for a moment and then her normal well normalish screen appeared. "What the heck was that about vee!" Shelly shouted.

Vee looked around then at Shelly ' what was what about?' "that whole screen thing! It just kept flashing" vee looked away ' let's just talk about dinosaurs shall we' shelly frowned and crossed her arms " no tell me what's going on right now!"

'do you even like me?'

"I don't...really know you vee so I can't say"

'then you wouldn't care from your logic'

"That's....that's not how that works vee, I can still worry"

'really? About a toon you aren't close with?'

"Yes! Absolutely!"

Her white board remained clear for a moment '....then why can't I do the same?'

Shelly looked down, she had misconceptions about vee. Most toons did about each other, "well I guess it.....just never felt that way. You were always so hard to approach and harder to talk to"

'i see'

Shelly fidgeted as this wasn't how she imagined her first ever conversation with vee in a long time would go, she remembered when vee came for an episode with her. It was simpler times to the new toon, her and her handler just fresh on and off the screen. When she grabbed the tvs hand that day it was unintentional and the picture was supposed to be them looking over something to-do with the episode.

Her handler decided the look on vees face was worth it more, and seeing how excited Shelly looked to try and make a new friend just made her handlers decision final. She remembered her handler had to take a vacation after the episode as they said some family matter came up, and after that....

They stopped hosting episodes with other toons....and her isolation began.

There was an awkward silence while Shelly was going down a rabbit hole of thoughts, vee waved her hand in front of Shelly and then clapped her hands together startling the poor thing.

"AH!" she realized she had completely forgotten vee there for a moment, and the silence descended once again.

Looking around to hopefully find a topic she saw a poorly drawn brontosaurus picture by a child a long time ago. " Did you know that the head of a brontosaurus has never been found and that the one originally found was actually a different dinosaur and the skull they use today was a recreation of what they believed it would look like?"

'i did not.....it must have taken a lot to come up with the idea of what it looked like' she had learned the hard way creating things is not an easy feat.

"Yeah they used dinosaur bones from similar herbivores to get an idea and sculpt out the head with clay!" Shelly seemed to get excited " many argue even today that the brontosaurus isn't a different species of dinosaur but is part of the Apatosaurus family."

'Is it not?'

" Between you and me even if it is I'd still like to believe it is apart of its own family because of how special they are. Everyone deserves to be acknowledged for their existence in some form or another right? That's why I love fossils because they scream Hey I'm here! I existed! And here's the proof"

Shelly then continued to talk about dinosaur facts slowly losing the thought about vees screen messing up or the original reason she was here.

Vee herself found listening to Shelly she did indeed know quite a bit about dinosaurs, probably more then some scientists would....but that's just her thoughts on the matter.

When they started to part ways Shelly looked down "it was nice talking to you again....." She didn't know how vee felt since the TV hadn't written much while she explained about her passion.

A tapping was heard and she looked up to see

Shelly smiled " I'm glad you enjoyed it!"

Vee nodded as the information was stored.

The fossil nuzzed her shoe into the dirt below her anxious to ask her next question ".....if you want to.....we can do this again sometime? I don't have much to do around here and you can always learn some new stuff!" She tried to make herself sound useful at the end knowing that vee liked to have a variety of knowledge for her game shows.

.....'sure'

And then they both left one to recharge the other to go to sleep, neither making a time or date because to do so when none knew when they would see the next day was....pointless.

It would be just like this time, a random encounter.
