But at the same time he was making an effort- he was making conversation and he was the one asking questions. He was making sure you were okay- and yet here you were trying to push him off. The whole situation with Omega Iso has messed you up so much that you didn't even know how to react anymore, and it was starting to drive you mad.

"I have a lot on my mind right now." You decided to say plainly, knowing it was a very loose ended answer, but it would at least give him a trail as to why you weren't as responsive or as talkative. But instead he persisted. The more he seemed to persist with his questions, the more it was adding to your stress.

"Do you want to talk about it? Does it have to do with the last mission?" He asked you, this time his tone not as monotone as it used to be, almost sounding gentler. But at this moment you barely even caught on the slight change, your eyes glued to the clouds outside the window, your thoughts drifting and wondering what it would feel like to have your hand in the clouds, feeling the cold air in the humidity up here.

"I don't want to talk about it." You said plainly, you're stare starting to become a bit more absent as you looked at the clouds. Your thoughts were drifting once more, drifting over to that decision you had to take when it came to Omega Iso.

Omega Iso, the one who started making your head a mess without even knowing it. The one that keeps sneaking up in your thoughts, making you more and more anxious every time and overthink so many things. The one that seemed to be the ideal one between the two- no matter how much you tried to deny it.

You remember just how painful it was to just even come to a decision. How the night were you finally made up your mind about it all, even spend some of that night crying, because it was paining you. You had to kill Omega Iso, whether you like it or not. You two were enemies, and even if you wanted, you longed for this version of Iso - you couldn't have him.

You were enemies, you were from two different universes. It hurt, but it had to be done. He was driving you insane, making your own reality feel worse whenever you had the romanticized image of him come through your mind while taking to your Iso. It hurt, because it wasn't your Iso. So if you ended up in his ultimate once more, this time you'd have to pull the trigger, even if it meant doing it with your eyes closed.

You two took the portal to go back to Omega Earth, this time you were not on icebox but rather on Lotus, a much larger radiant site that required a bit more tact. Of course this Mission had been planned out just like the last one, with multiple steps and security measures to make sure that everything would go well without any hiccups or injuries.

And just like every time before, Iso took the lead while you watched the flank, only a few steps behind him at all times. He would walk at a decent pace, quietly and making sure to keep his gun up and ready for fire. He pointed his Vandal at any corner, making sure to check every spot so that there wouldn't be a surprise like last time.

You two were going on a specific trajectory, just like last time. And just like last time, the two of you were dead quiet. The only difference is this time you had a pit of anxiety that wouldn't go away, that was nagging at you the entire time. It was making you feel queasy, if not slightly ill. But you kept up, not letting it show on your face.

Because if anyone figured out that you were not up for the task, not feeling it for the mission, or rather just not feeling it to go to Omega Earth, not only would you set the entire team back, but then you would have to be sitting out on many other missions. You didn't want to be a burden, and you didn't want to lose your duo, taking quiet deep breaths to keep your calm.

And you cleared one side at a time, starting with a, continuing to b and going to finish at c. That was the plan, trying to find the best way to cover as much terrain as you can in a short amount of time.
