However, they were halted as a car came down the gravel pathway ahead of them. Y/N's head turned to see the car speeding down. She swallowed hard, looking over at Michael.
"Let's go. Get in the car," Michael whispered.
Y/N looked over to him, seeing him walk back to the car. "We can't get out this way. Michael, that's the only way out of here," she whispered back, following his actions of getting in the car. There was only one road.
"Then that's the way we're going," he responded back.
Y/N glanced over to the black car speeding down the street, Mahone behind tehe wheel. However, Michael kept driving towards Mahone.
"I love you, ok?" he stated, glancing over to her before looking ahead. "Hold on though. Just hold on."
Y/N grabbed onto the handle, eyes shifting between the car and Michael, panic in her as she did not know what was next. "Michael, what are you doing?"
"Just old on," he mumbled.
The car continued to speed down the gravel road, closer and closer they got.
"Come on," Michael whispered.
Y/N mad eye contact with Mahone through the front window as the cars came closer together.
"Michael!" Y/N shouted.
However, Michael turned the wheel, grazing their white car with Mahone's black car.
"You're alright?" Michael asking glancing over as they got in the lead.
"He's still behind us," she mumbled.
They continued to drive, speeding along the road and breaking through the fence that led to the abandoned warehouse. Panic was rising in her, worried and fear as they crashed into an old shed.
Michael got out and helped Y/N out, guiding her with his arm on her lower back. Michael was panting as he looked over to see Mahone, but they continued to run into the warehouse.
"We got to get back to the car," Y/N muttered as they stood hiding behind something.
Michael took off his sunglasses before panting, "It's too far."
"If we go now, before he gets more people?" she asked, watching as Mahone pulled up.
"He's not gonna call for backup," Michael responded, and Y/N looked at him, grabbing his hand. "He wants his privacy."
"Why?" she muttered.
Michael squeezed her hand before dropping in and walking closer. "He's not rying to catch us...he's trying to kill us." Y/N's heart dropped and she swallowed hard. "We need to go," he muttered, grabbing Y/N's hand and pulling her into the warehouse.
"There's got to be an exit on the other side," Michael muttered as he pulled her along, stopping as he looked around the corner, both sides. He was panting and Y/N stood beside him. "You go on," he said.
"Michael," Y/N whispered, grabbing onto his arm.
"I'll be right behind you. Go," he said, squeezing her hand as Y/N ran.
She ran to the other side of the room, looking for an exit. Y/N could see Michael holding a metal bar and trying to coax Mahone to him. She ran, looking for a way out and peaking over a wall. Y/N spotted Mahone's car, running towards it. Once she got inside, she looked everywhere for the keys but found nothing. Instead, she grabbed the wires to hot wiring the car. She had not done such a thing since her teenage years when she stole cars and slept in them. However, she knew how they worked.
