Truth & Inference characters

Very touch- and attention-starved because his family treated him like an adult and a co-worker from a young age. Often feels like he was only adopted, so the Mélodis family had someone to carry out missions and do other work for them.
• Thinks D.M's life is perfect and is often very jealous of him.
• Gets a bit embarrassed and awkward when someone calls him by his real name, Siegfried, outside of his own family. Is not used to anyone else calling him by that name.
• His biological family really loved him and he still remembers it.
• Is forgetting memories of his real parents which makes him feel ungrateful even though it's not his fault that the memories are fading. He now (before becoming White) only remembers the traumatising accident and that his parents actually loved him, no specific good flashback or events.
• (This here is gonna be a mix of me theorising with lore and adding a few hc's, but!) Apparently Noir got coma from the poison (from canon diagnosis center), and I am gonna blame D.M here cuz it was said (in the canon report page) that he didn't behave unusually when Noir went missing. Very sus if you ask me. So my hc is that after their father's death, D.M poisoned Noir to sabotage and get rid of him, so Noir wouldn't do anything to ruin D.M's power now that he was the lead of the Mélodis family. But Noir survived the poison and ended up with amnesia (2nd version is that D.M had mercy and picked the poison that wouldn't kill him, but would still remove him from D.M's picture). Noir didn't remember anything at all. (From canon Report page) It was said that his hair went white, his eyes light blue, and fading pigmentation on his skin, all possibly caused by a drug (looking at you, D.M). This also caused poor eyesight and the fear of sunlight and heat. So I hc that D.M's poison/drug caused all that and this officially solves the mystery of Noir's magical girl transformation into White. But after the coma, he did in fact suffer from (from canon diagnosis center) blackouts, fever, hypopnea, bradycardia, memory loss, and visual and auditory hallucinations. Lady Truth found him and brought to their Detective Agency where she and Inference nursed him back to health. With some medicine, his fever, heart- and breathing problems got mostly solved. White decided to stay with them and he was invited into the agency. He still couldn't recall his memories though. The Mélodis family (aka D.M and servants/workers) considers him dead or "out of the picture for unknown reasons" since they would assume that Noir would normally come back home again if he simply got left behind a bit after the mission. Oh, but only D.M knew the truth. D.M was still forced to file the "Missing person" report to avoid suspicion. Noir, the touch-starved neglected melancholy man, was now White, a happy and loved person who has a reason to smile! Happy ending! 🌸

• Can sing and dance, and good hecking well too! (singing inspo from Thousand Foot Krutch, very good band btw, I imagine Eli/Noir/White sing their songs with the same voice.)
• Loves reading, a lot. Will sit on his bed and read books for hours, sometimes past his usual bedtime. Fav genres: mystery, crime, psychological-horror, fantasy, and whatever are the name of those books with a valuable moral and life lessons.
• Will sometimes grab things in his sleep (pillows or corner of his weighted blanket). Little subconscious act because of his touch-starvation.

Keeps a vent diary which sounds like a teenager writing about how his family doesn't love him and how no one understands him. Can only be read with a very whiny voice. Will scribble across the paper when writing about something that makes him feel extremely embarrassed or frustrated.
• Will sometimes hop on place or shake his fists when really excited or happy about something, but only when noone sees it🌸
• His voice gets a little bit higher when he's extremely embarrassed or frustrated. D.M makes fun of it just because he can (and because it 'is' kinda funny).
• Likes cheese🧀 even though he isn't exactly allowed to eat a random slice of cheese at a random time because his family is too fancy-smancy with their etiquettes and standards.

• Likes silver accessories as Noir, but switched to gold as White.

(Only) White:

• White still has heterochromia like Noir. (I sometimes use that hc. I just think it would be cool if Inference found out about White's old identity because of his eyes looking exactly like Noir's)
• Secretly likes to try Inferences detective clothes and imagine himself doing the detective work too. Will giggle to himself in the mirror while blooming like a little flower. (Inspo from that really cute fanart comic of the exact situation, but I can't find it anywhere anymore and now I'm sad)
• Can predict Inferences schedule even if Inference works late or goes very out of routine. White will always bring him coffee or (sometimes) tea at the right moments. (unrelated to his foresight ability)
• Sometimes forces tea on Inference cause "It's healthy and will help you sleep better."
• Complete opposite to Noir's personality, although some sub-conscious traits remain the same from past traumas and events that White is now not aware of.
• Often lectures Inference for having a very messed up sleep-schedule, overworks a lot, and doesn't make decent home-made meals for lunch. In general just for having an unhealthy life-style.
• Goes to sleep before midnight and wakes up before 8.

♧ D.M. ♧

• Is very clearly, visibly, and obviously the favourite child. Sometimes uses his advantage to tease Noir.
• Sometimes writes poetry which are always very short and no longer than 6 rows.
• Likes to light candles in his room at evening.

♧ ParaLuca ♧

• Often works over-night and ends up with little sleep, but his casual optimistic persona helps him hide it.
• Likes fashion and elegant mature-looking outwear clothes. (like those fancy coats)
• Coffee all the time, but not as much as Inference. Prefers that cold type (idk the name, I don't drink coffee)
• Can get annoyed very easily, but doesn't show it because he knows his irritation is often too unreasonable and noone needs to be put up with this and waste time on it. Mostly work-related.
• Bleaches his hair, a lot. Has tried other light pastel colors too, but mainly goes for blonde. Cuts and dyes his hair by himself in the bathroom and is very skilled with it because he has done research and learnt a bit from professionals.
• Often ends up spacing out and staring at the table until someone comes to wave at him. Sometimes happens in the middle of the conversation too.

Hates when Gatto keeps borrowing his pens and never brings them back because he's using them all the time.
• Doesn't snitch on Gatto secretly bringing his cat to the office because Luca likes the cat too.

♧ Gatto ♧

• Has a life-time misfortune of having his pens stop working all the time, so he often ends up in Luca's office to borrow a new one. Luca finds it a bit annoying because that means he needs to get more pens for himself because Gatto never brings them back.
• Also sometimes works over-night like Luca, but definitely not as long as him. Found out about Luca's bad habit when he once went to borrow a new pen from his office and saw that Luca was still there.
• Collects cute plushies, and also sleeps with a few :)
• Has autism and social anxiety (like canon Aesop unless Netease is playing tricks), but manages to keep himself composed and get everything done nicely.
• Likes the smell of nature which he gets rarely, taking that he's stuck in the lab most of his day.
• Very fluffy hair! They will always fly around when there's a small breeze in the room or when his sweaters have static electricity in it.

Secretly brings his cat to the office even though he's not supposed to. "It's for anxiety and mental health reasons, so it should be fine, right? Right??"
• Always loses his glasses! Sometimes onto his head even. Can't see far, but it doesn't borther him in his work, so he prefers not to wear them when he doesn't need to. Luca often helps him find them when he's in Gatto's office anyway because he can see better, but Gatto is unfortunate enough that most of the time he asks Luca for help, the glasses have apparently been on his head the whole time and then he feels all awkward and embarrassed.
