Daisy blinked, surprised. "On your Instagram?"
Taylor nodded, a small, almost shy smile tugging at her lips. "Yeah. I mean, it's cute, right?"
Daisy felt her heart skip. Taylor had always been cautious about going public, but this? This was a huge step. "Are you sure?" she asked softly.
Taylor nodded again, her expression determined. "I am."
She quickly typed out a caption: "My two favorite things to do in winter." Then, without overthinking, she hit "post."
"Done," she said, sliding her phone into her pocket.
"Wow," Daisy murmured, still processing what had just happened. "Taylor Swift really just posted me on her Instagram. That snowman must feel so special."
Taylor laughed, reaching out to tug Daisy's scarf playfully. "You're ridiculous."
It didn't take long for the notifications to start pouring in. As they headed back inside, Taylor's phone buzzed incessantly with likes, comments, and—predictably—headlines.
"Taylor Swift Posts Mysterious Photo with Actress Daisy Cox—Relationship Confirmed?"
"Taylor Swift Shares Cozy Winter Snap: New Romance on the Horizon?"
Daisy glanced at Taylor's phone as the articles appeared, raising an eyebrow. "They work fast, don't they?"
Taylor shrugged, slipping her phone onto the counter. "Let them talk. I'm ignoring it today."
Daisy smiled, warmth blooming in her chest. "You're really doing this, huh?"
Taylor met her gaze, a soft but sure expression in her blue eyes. "Yeah," she said quietly. "I am."
As Daisy and Taylor sat by the fire, sipping their cocoa, Daisy's phone rang, its sharp tone cutting through the cozy silence. She glanced at the screen and raised an eyebrow, not recognizing the number.
"Who's calling you during peak cocoa time?" Taylor teased, a smirk tugging at her lips.
"Let's find out," Daisy muttered, answering the call. "Hello?"
Before she could get another word in, a high-pitched scream erupted through the speaker, making Daisy flinch and pull the phone away from her ear.
"What the—" Daisy began, confused, until the familiar voice clicked. "Ella?!"
The scream turned into excited chatter as Daisy's childhood best friend, Ella, rambled on about how she had just found out Daisy was back in London. Daisy's face lit up as she caught snippets of Ella's enthusiasm "You're here?! I couldn't believe it when I heard! We have to see each other!"
Taylor watched the exchange with a curious smile, leaning back into the couch.
"Okay, okay, slow down," Daisy laughed, finally putting the phone back to her ear. "Yes, I'm here, and yes, I'd love to see you."
Ella wasted no time. "Perfect! So, I was thinking—a mini high school reunion! Just our old group, nothing fancy. You in?"
Daisy hesitated for only a second, glancing at Taylor. "Yeah, sure. That sounds fun. Um... can I bring someone along?"
"Of course!" Ella replied. "Wait, who is it? Someone I know? Is it a secret?"
Daisy rolled her eyes, grinning. "No, it's not a secret. You'll see. Just tell me when and where."
After exchanging details, Daisy hung up and turned to Taylor, who was waiting expectantly.
"Who was that?" Taylor asked, setting her mug down.
