"or maybe you just need to get better at the game?" mae jumped off of the railing, walking down the small set of stairs and moving over to where mylo was standing.
just as she stood in her place, powder jumped out from behind the shooting range, a scowl on her kiddish features as she held two big plugs in her hands.
a smirk on her face as she snapped them together, watching the range glow up with neon colours behind her. she jumped over the small wooden divider, sending mylo a look before skipping away.
mylo screwed his face up in a teasing way, causing maeve to slap him on the back of his head. a small snicker falling from her mouth as he rubbed his head.
he then started shooting at each wooden figure that moved around, missing most of his shots. "dude come on, if your gonna complain atleast be somewhat good.." she said as she snatched the gun out of his hands.
"your not any better." he crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes moved to the range as maeve set herself up to shoot.
hitting each and every bullseye without fail, watching each wooden face fall down. a smirk on her face as she blew on the tip of the gun, facing mylo whos mouth was agape.
"how— what— shut up!" he groaned as he grabbed the gun again, going to shoot the targets again.
maeve spun on her heels, walking back over to vi who was bandaging her knuckles. "you guys know i wouldnt take you on a job you couldn't handle, right?" she wearily asked.
maeves face softened as she leant herself on the railing next to her. "stop it, vi. that was the best job we've ever done, no ones blaming you stop blaming yourself."
"we're blaming powder. maybe just don't take this kid next time." mylo spoke up.
"do you ever shut you mouth? no one is blaming powder besides you, and really, its your fault we lost it, mr 'nice haul" maeve got defensive once again.
mylo and maeve have never gotten along. their bickering always turn into huge fights, and usually its always over powder or the fact mylo just genuinely never shuts up.
everyones gotten used to it by now.
maeves eyes turned too the blue haired girl who flicked the training gun up into her hands, aiming for the targets. mylo watched in jealousy as she hit each and every one, just like maeve did.
powder and the brunette girl used to always use the range, maeve would teach powder how to do everything and soon enough she became a pro. maeve would argue powder is better then her.
she screwed up her face once she finished, walking away and over to the arcade game they set up, where claggor was sitting right next too.
indistinct shouting could be heard behind the green glass window, something was happening and it was a for sure fact due to the amounts of noise that could be heard.
"hey, uh, maeve?" the little girl called over the brunette. who happily waltzed over to her. "whats up, sugar?" she smiled.
"can you hear that?" she said quietly, maeve leaned towards the glass, hearing what she was on about. her eyes widened as she nodded, moving closer to the crack that was in the middle of it.
when she peered into the room on the other side, she noticed the amounts of enforcers, three of them questioning a man who looked like he was having none of it. "topsider business aint my concern." he said to them with attitude.
"its every one of you trenchers concern now." the enforcers voice said, just as he did, the man pulled out of the hands that were holding him back, then spitting on the main soldiers shoe.
