** Y/N POV **
I woke up and my senses were overwhelmed with Severus's scent. Then I remembered where I slept last night. My cheeks flushed just thinking about how I'm sleeping in his bed. I moved to sit up but completely forgot about yesterday. My hands and knees ached, but my left knee. Burned in pain as it hurt more than the others. I winced in pain as I pushed myself to sit up.

When I finally was sitting up with my feet on the floor and I was still sitting down at the edge of the bed. I looked around, seeing it very simple. Not many things around his room. His bedspread was black (shocker), the sheets were black (shocker), bed frame was also. You guessed it. Black. I chuckled realizing that this man is obsessed with black. No wonder he's grumpy, there's no light in his life.

I placed my hands on the bed to push myself up, ignoring the stinging in my hands with the pressure, as my mind was consumed with pain in my left knee I grunted in pain.

"You are very stubborn you know that right?" I turned around and saw Severus standing with the door open looking at me unamused.

"I can't be carried everywhere, you know that right?" I questioned him back which made him smirk at my response.

I stood up and tried to put weight on my left leg but was unable to so I grabbed the head board to steady myself.

"This is a bitch." I muttered annoyed that I can't stand normally.

"You did crush part of the bone in your left knee. It'll take a few days to be fully healed." I saw Severus turn to get something from his closet, and pulled out a BLACK cane. Walked over to me and handed it to me. "Try this."

I just looked at him is disgust. "Absolutely not. It's not that bad. Look." I said letting go of the head board and walked about 3 steps before falling over from pain. But Severus caught me. My hands were on his biceps, and I noticed how toned he was under his clothes. My face was leaning against his chest and his hands were both on my shoulders. I looked up at him to apologize, but no words exited my mouth.

His eyes were really fascinating. From a glance they looked black, but with the morning sunshine, it was a very deep brown, but his pupils were too dilated for me to see the color fully.

"Not that bad my ass." He said smirking, proving he was right. I rolled my eyes and held myself up on just my right leg while he handed me the cane. I winced as I put weight on my left leg and began to walk with the cane. It made a tapping noise everytime I hit the floor with the cane. It did make it a lot easier. I better not have to use this for long. I don't like being not able as I usually am.

I walked past Severus without saying a word until I was basically out the door.

"I'll never say it!" I said walking out making him chuckle. I will NEVER admit that he was right. Absolutely not. I made my way to the kitchen to make me some coffee, only to realize that I have no clue where he keeps it. I turned to question him but he was already in the kitchen reaching in a cabinet taking out the coffee. "Thanks." I said smiling at him softly. He just nodded for his response.

I made my coffee while he sat at the table reading a newspaper. It was a comfortable environment. Almost felt natural.

When I finished making my coffee. I sat at the table with him and just drank my coffee, when he gently folded and put the paper down and looked at me.

"Are you okay?" Severus looked directly into my eyes, trying to read every emotion I was feeling. My thoughts went to last night. The news about my father. The memory that I had. All of it. I took a deep breath before responding.

"I'll be okay. I just need some time to process it all." I said timidly, but giving him a reassuring smile. I don't want him to worry about me, but I saw that he was. Which I appreciated more than he would ever know.
