Ch.7 - He Will Learn Fear

"Ouch" Y/n says on behalf of Gerard as he just looks at Alex a little ticked off.

"Anyways what are you doing here Y/n?" Ben asks with his cute little smile.

"Just checking the place out" she just shrugs

"What about you guys?"

"Oh we were just hanging out and saw this punch machine and wanted to try it, but SOMEONE kicked it instead of punching" he says as he glares at Gerard, while Gerard is looking the other way whistling as if Ben must be talking about someone else.

"*Punch machine*" Y/n whispers to herself "what kinda idiot kicks a punch machine?" she asks and Alex just bursts out laughing so hard his eyes start to water.

"I'M NOT AN IDIOT!!!" Gerard yells as his face is beet red from embarrassment.

"Ok, sorry" Y/n says as she puts her hands up in surrender.

"..."

They just stood there staring at each other waiting for the other to break. When Gerard got a bright idea.

"Why don't you try it and if you score higher than me then I'll apologize for kicking the punch machine" he says.

"Ok"

"Wait I wasn't done, if you can't then you have to go out to dinner with me tonight" he says with confidence and a cocky smirk on his face.

"ok , deal" Y/n puts her hand out to shake on it, Gerard takes her hand and shakes it. Noting how cold her hands are.

"Wait, wait, maybe you should think about this a little more," Alex says, worrying, lacing his voice.

"ya , you don't wanna go on a date with this guy" Ben adds in as he points at Gerard with his thumb.

"HEY!"

"It's ok, I'll win" Y/n just says with a blank face.

She then gets ready to punch the machine. As she gets in the standard boxing stance, then she throws a hard and fast punch at the machine making a loud Bang with a few cracking noises.

"Holly shit did you hear that" Alex says in surprise

"Hmmm looks like I won" she says as she turns around with a smile, a genuine smile well more like a cocky smile but it was the biggest smile they've seen her do.

"Damn, she showed you" Ben nudges Gerards arm as all 3 of them just stare at her in shock. Gerard most of all.

He was also a little upset his plan didn't play out the way he wanted it to.

~Time skip~

Y/n was walking with Alex and his friends as they walked to the pool hall. Alex invited her and when he found out she's never played before he insisted she come with him so he could teach her.

As they got up the stairs Y/n stops Alex and pulls him closer to her and whispers "*Do you know where the restroom is?*" Alex blushes a little when she pulls him in, he didn't think her asking him where the bathroom was, was gross or anything and he understood she didn't want everyone in the group to hear her ask such a personal question, but he did find himself a little disappointed that she didn't just want to hold on to him. He whispered to her where it was, and she took her leave to use the restroom.

The other guys questioned why she left and he just told them she needed to do something. As they all walked into the pool hall Alex freezes when he saw Jimmy Bae and Phillip Kim talking and playing pool.
