I woke up to the sound of my phone getting a notification. I had lost track of time yesterday thinking about something.....

Kaira had come.

She had come to my office with the contract of our relationship yesterday, asking me to sign it. All I could see in her was the business face she always kept despite her soft glances she gives me these days. Sometimes. And very little.

But little enough for me to live a lifetime.

Funny how I wake up and the first thing I think about is that woman who doesn't even care about me. I laughed at myself reaching out for my phone.

I looked at the notification. I cursed under my breath opening the text.

I like how you ignore me thinking I'm not a threat. You think I'm not watching you?

Not again. What the heck does this person even want? I rubbed my forehead and typed back a response.

Stop meddling with me for god's sake and tell me what you want.

What I want? Oh what I want is far away from what your thinking of giving me. Also, apart from what I want, I think I also want your girl. She looks way too sexy, with those curves of hers, I can't take my eyes off her. Can't wait to lay my hands on her. I'll make sure I ruin her in front of you.

A shiver ran down my spine at the mention of a girl. Just when I was wishing it wasn't Kaira, a message popped up again.

If I'm not wrong, Kaira's her name isn't it? The CEO of K hotel and inn. Good catch brother. I already am in love with her.

I typed back feeling all of the rage climb up my throat.

Get. Away. From. Her. Do not even think about it. If anything happens to Kaira because of you, I'll make sure I see your end. Brutally.

Nice threat. Cute enough for a five year old to fall for it. Get this one thing straight Akshay, no matter how much you try to get away, am going to ruin you. You took everything away from me and I'm not gonna sleep untill I take everything away from you. Especially that girl of yours. I'm in love with her, Akshay. She's my toy to play with. She's mine.

My jaw clenched.
This fucker.

I gritted my teeth and called Aarav.

"Come home. Now." I said without waiting for him to respond.

"Oh. Hey, good morning to you too", he chirped back sarcastically.

"Quit your antics and be at my doorstep in 10 minutes. I need to discuss something urgent." I said cutting the call without waiting for his reply as I got up.

I was making coffee....
Kaira's favourite beverage.

Anyways, I was making coffee when I heard the door bell ring. One of the servants had opened the door for Aarav.

"Coffee?", I asked looking at him.

"No thank you. I'm good." he said,

"Anyways, what was so urgent for you to call me home and not tell it over the phone?"

I poured the coffee into a mug and took a sip from it.

"Someone's stalking me. At first they said something about destroying me and shit. I didn't care about it. But they somehow saw me with Kaira and are coming at her now. If it was only me, I wouldn't have cared and thought that those threats were empty. But now that Kaira's involved in the picture, I can't really risk it. So, I want you to find the guy with this number. " I said sending a number to him.

If there was a tech genius I trusted, it was Aarav.

"Ok got it. Don't worry about it, I'll find him." he said looking into his phone.

We sat in silence for a while.

"How are things with Kaira now?", he said breaking the silence.

"Oh. Oh, um... we-we.... are in a fake relationship" I said caught off guard by his question. "For her dad" I quickly added after looking at his startled face which soon had a mischievous grin on it.

"I leave you alone for a few days and look at what you get yourself into, huh?", he mocked.

"Shut up will you? It's only for three months.", I said.

"Akshay? Are you breaking up with me for three months? How am I going to live?!", he cried out dramatically.

"This is exactly what I don't like, when did I even date you to break up with you, idiot?" I said laughing with my shoulders relaxing from the tension I had in the morning.

"Don't say stuff like that. I love you, when will you ever know my love for you? Huh?"

This ass and his stupidness.

"Shut up before I cut that tongue of yours." I said.

"Oh no, I don't want my tongue cut. Please forgive me your highness, please!", he said shaking his head a little too much.

We looked at each other for a few seconds and burst into a fit of laughter.

"Your such an idiot!" I said laughing in between.

After we had stopped, Aarav quickly got up and said, "Ok, I'll leave now. I have a date to attend."

"Again?" I asked surprised.

"Well, someone has to go out and socialize among us right?"

"Oh please, I don't know from when sticking your tongue down someone's throat became socializing. How many dates do you even go on? Don't you get bored?" I asked.

"Bored? C'mon Akshay, we're talking about ladies here. Ladies are far from being boring. They are everything but boring my friend. You'll never know.", he said smirking.

Guess I'll actually never know.

"Yeah ok, whatever. Now, get lost from my house." I said and shifted my attention towards my laptop.

"How about, 'bye see you again later' Mr. Grumpy?", he said grinning.

I looked up from my laptop and shot him a glare.

"Leave." I said with a stern voice.

"Okay. Bye asshole.", he cursed.

"Bye Aarav", I replied as he stomped his way out of my house.

And without me realising, I was smiling.
