A Shattered Silence

"That guy..." Issei muttered, breaking the heavy silence. He sat cross-legged by the fire, his eyes glued to the flickering flames. "Gojo. Who even is he?"

"The way he carried himself..." Kiba said, his back against the cave wall. His arms were crossed, his usual calm demeanor tinged with unease. "It was like he wasn't worried about us. Not even a little."

"He barely acknowledged us," Xenovia said, her tone sharp. "It was like we weren't even worth his time."

"He didn't come for us," Rias said, her voice tense. She paced near the fire, her crimson hair shifting as she moved. "He came for Y/N. That much was obvious."

"And he won," Koneko said quietly, her amber eyes glinting in the dim light. "Whatever happened before we got there... Y/N didn't stand a chance."

Asia looked up briefly from her healing, her expression conflicted. "But he's alive. Gojo could've killed him, but he didn't. Why?"

"Because he didn't need to," Akeno said softly, her gaze flickering toward Y/N's unconscious form. "Gojo made his point. Whatever it was."

The Quiet Watch

Hours passed in uneasy silence, broken only by the occasional crackle of the fire or the distant sound of the wind howling through the gorge. The ORC members took turns keeping watch, their thoughts racing with possibilities.

"Gojo..." Issei muttered again as he leaned against the wall near the cave entrance, his voice cutting through the stillness. "Just standing there, he made all of us feel powerless. Like nothing we did would matter."

"Power like that doesn't come from nowhere," Xenovia said, adjusting her grip on the hilt of her sword. "He's not human, is he?"

"No," Rias said, shaking her head. "He's something else entirely. But what bothers me more is why he came for Y/N specifically. What's the connection?"

"Y/N knows something," Kiba said, his tone firm. "Or he's hiding something. Gojo wouldn't have gone through all this trouble for no reason. Maybe they are family and it's that type of issue; it would explain the almost identical appearance."

"Whatever it is, it's dangerous," Akeno said. "That much is clear."

"We need answers," Rias said, her gaze hardening as she glanced toward Y/N. "This isn't just about him anymore. Whatever Gojo's after, it could affect all of us."

Y/N Awakens

A groan from the corner drew everyone's attention. Y/N stirred, his fingers twitching slightly before his crimson eyes fluttered open. He blinked a few times, his gaze unfocused as he tried to sit up.

"Don't move too much," Asia said gently, pressing a hand to his shoulder. "You're still hurt."

"I've had worse," Y/N muttered, wincing as he propped himself against the wall. He scanned the group, his expression unreadable. "You're all here."

"Of course we are," Rias said, stepping forward. "And we have questions."

Y/N sighed, rubbing his temple. "Figured as much."

"Gojo," Akeno said, her tone calm but firm. "We saw him after the fight. He didn't even look at us before he left. But the destruction..." She trailed off, her gaze shifting to Rias. "What happened, Y/N? Why was he after you?"

"And why does he look like you?" Issei demanded, leaning forward.

Y/N's crimson eyes flickered with something unreadable as he looked away. "You wouldn't understand."

"Then explain it to us," Kiba said, his tone sharper than usual. "We deserve answers, Y/N. You can't just expect us to sit here and act like this is normal."

Y/N hesitated, his gaze fixed on the floor. "It's... complicated."

"Then uncomplicate it," Rias said, her voice cold but commanding.

He took a deep breath, his hands clenching into fists. "Gojo isn't just anyone. He's... connected to my past."

"Your past?" Xenovia echoed, frowning. "What does that mean?"

Y/N's gaze remained distant. "I don't remember much. But Gojo and I... we're part of the same experiment. We were created—engineered—for a purpose. A purpose that failed."

'Let's hope they believe this bullshit I came up with on the spot.' Y/n thought while racking his mind trying to think up a believable excuse.

"Engineered?" Rias repeated, her eyes narrowing. "Why haven't you told us this before?"

"Because it didn't matter," Y/N said flatly. "Not until now."

"Why now?" Koneko asked, tilting her head. "Why would he come for you after all this time?"

Y/N hesitated, his expression conflicted. "Because I've been getting stronger. Strong enough to get his attention."

"And that's dangerous for us, isn't it?" Rias said.

Y/N nodded slowly. "If he decides to come back, he won't stop at me. He'll go through all of you if he has to and nothing will be able to stop him."

Before anyone could respond, the air in the cave grew heavy. A strange energy, unlike anything the ORC had ever encountered, seeped into the space. The atmosphere seemed to ripple as a disembodied voice echoed through the cave.

"Y/N," the voice said, calm and commanding, but with a tone that carried an unearthly resonance. "It's time."

The ORC froze, their eyes darting toward the entrance of the cave. The energy was oppressive, making it hard to breathe.

"Who... who was that?" Rias demanded, her crimson eyes scanning the cave.

"I don't know," Akeno said, her voice tense, though the uncertainty in her tone betrayed her unease.

"It's not a presence I recognize," Kiba added, his hand instinctively going to the hilt of his sword.

"It's them," Y/N said quietly, his voice low but filled with a weight none of them could understand. He pushed himself to his feet, ignoring the pain that wracked his body.

"Wait!" Rias called out, stepping forward. "You don't have to go alone."

"Yes, I do," Y/N said, his tone resolute. His crimson eyes locked onto Rias for a brief moment before he turned toward the shimmering energy now enveloping the entrance.

"Who is it?" Koneko asked, her quiet voice cutting through the tension. "Who's calling you?"

Y/N hesitated, glancing back over his shoulder. "Someone you're better off not knowing."

Before anyone could stop him, the energy surged forward, wrapping around Y/N and pulling him into the void. The cave fell silent once more, leaving the ORC behind, stunned and filled with questions.
