22 | A Change of Plans

Start from the beginning

The response of Jisung's words makes the smile on Minho's face instantly drop. "You don't see it, do you?" Minho's excitement falls. He takes a step back, noticing the way he's made Jisung uncomfortable. "But you feel it, don't you?"

Jisung jolted, and Minho noticed. The way the brunette's mind runs cold and his body frozen. Minho's lips formed a smile of excitement. "We're in this together," Minho repeated, and Jisung's eyes dilated. "Since the beginning."

Minho's hands uncontrollably reach for Jisung but the lad is quick to push them away. Jisung sends Minho a piercing gaze. "Why are you bullshitting now?" Jisung asked in disbelief, unable to believe Minho's words and look in his eyes despite every bone telling him Minho was saying something he truly meant.

"Are you telling me you'll stop killing innocent people? That you'll stop betraying people and ending their lives because you suddenly get bored and have nothing to do in your dull life? That you're gonna change and be..." It felt impossible to even form the words, even less, be able to merely think of them.

"Good?" Minho finished what Jisung couldn't. When their eyes locked, Jisung nodded his head slowly. Minho frowned, with his brows coming together. Eyes casting to the ground and steps continuing to get closer to Jisung once again. The lad stopped breathing when he noticed the way Minho's lips twitched.

"No...? What makes you think I'd be able to do that?" Minho held back a chuckle escaping past him. He did instead, trace his covered finger down Jisung's cheek.

"Why don't you join me instead?" Minho whispered faintly, eyes finding Jisung's. "You could sit right beside me, and I'll treat you like my own princess."

Jisung recoiled, but then suddenly he took hold of Minho's wrist and yanked it away from his eyesight. "I thought I wasn't your type?" Jisung provoked, not exactly what he had in mind to say, but the words slipped out before he even thought of them.

Minho finally cracked a smile. "You're manly, but you do have this...doll-like face. It keeps me interested, in many different ways," Minho said.

Jisung let go of Minho's wrist. He opens his mouth to awfully decline Minho's hectic bizarre suggestion of living together, but when the thought of being together forms in his mind, he is abruptly reminded of his plan he had been dedicated to pursue.

And as he reconsidered, it was a good start.

Minho was currently blinded by whatever sort of belief of alliances and bondage they could have than to be able to figure out Jisung's own plan to make him lower his guard on him. It was a good start indeed.

And so, Jisung changed his mind, and could only hope Minho wasn't scheming any horribly nasty stuff on his other end when he answered, "Fine, I'll move in with you."

"You idiot!! How could you agree to such a dangerous thing like that?? You know you're gonna be all by yourself there..!" Bangchan argued, blowing a breath of frustration into the air. He was pacing around the living room as Jisung began to pack his things in a duffle bag.

"I'm not gonna die if that's what you think is gonna happen to me," Jisung said from the other room.

"And how are you so sure about that? Because he suddenly decided to cherish you out of nowhere??" Bangchan bemused, storming into Jisung's bedroom unable to tempt his nerves without being able to speak to Jisung face to face.

Jisung lets out a sigh of exhaustion when the hurricane of Bangchan's mood messes up with his coolness. He stops what he's doing and looks towards Bangchan's way to lock their gazes together.

"Look, I don't know why Minho wants me to move in with him but I have a plan. One I have to do by myself. And while I'm over there, I'll try my complete best to send you any details I think are important. Where his men are hiding, how we can defeat them, and how we can stop him," Jisung said, licking his lips and about to draw his attention away from the apprehensive older man but then he pauses and returns his attention to Bangchan. "And I'm not going to die," Jisung concluded.

Bangchan sighed, running a hand through his locks in desperate need to keep his calm. "I still don't understand why we can't just kill the guy right this instant. Two against one, what are the odds of that picture perfect?" Bangchan commented.

"Even if it's two against one, he's stronger," Jisung tried to reason out.

"No. No, he's not. I remember back then when he went to visit Felix I won him by strength," Bangchan observed.

"It's not about being stronger, it's about acting smart," Jisung said, finishing packing his things and zipping his bag closed. "Now, let this go. I have a plan, and I know I'll succeed," Jisung walked towards the door, but Bangchan stood in the way.

Jisung halted his steps and turned to meet his gaze. Able to read precisely the look in Bangchan's worried eyes, Jisung dropped his head down to prevent the older noticing the small smile creeping in his lips. It had been so long since he last saw anyone acting so worried about him...It was a nice old feeling.

"Keep the place clean. It's still my apartment after all," Jisung said instead. And he reached for the doorknob and didn't need to ask Bangchan to move as the other hesitantly but toughly took a step aside.

Jisung walked out of his apartment one last time.

What Minho had said to him that day made it impossible to truly believe in.

Meant to be.

What was the point in even saying something like that? Was there some sort of hidden gain to it?

The day Minho got that panic attack as Jisung had been studying, something humanly transformed in him. It had to be that. Nothing else could explain the sudden impact of thinking you're soulmate to be with your solemn enemy.

It was ridiculous, how could Minho ever have the chance to even think of Han Jisung in that sort of way? To even imagine them...solely made for each other.

Jisung looked out the window to keep himself occupied instead by watching the streets that passed by while he waited for the bus to come to a stop. Preferably, he had left his car with Bangchan for him to use. Knowing Minho wasn't asking him to live in the same house as him, rather Minho was taking him into his house only for his entertainment. Although that set Jisung into his core of bitterness, he remained grounded knowing the benefit he'll get.

Becoming Minho's weakness.
That's what it's always been about.
