"Stop with the kisses," Woohyun laughed.
"But I like you! Nam..Woohyun," I pouted my lips, holding onto him for support. If I would've let go of him, I would be moving left to right or falling on my backside.
"Sh, be quiet." He pulled me closer, "people might hear you," he whispered in my ear.
"That tickles," I squealed, playing with his collar.
"I'm gonna go to the toilet. Stay with Bi Ho and Yoo Ri whilst I am gone," he said. "Bi Ho, look after her and make sure she doesn't leave your sight," he beckoned him over.
"Okay, okay," he said as he danced with Yoo Ri.
After third-wheeling with them for a while, I decided that I should get myself another drink at the bar. Bi Ho and Yoo Ri were too drunk to notice me barge past them. I manoeuvred myself through the crowd of hyper, dancing people.
"Could I.. Could I.. Have a.." I itched my head, squinting, "uh..vodka and cola, please, Ahjusshi."
"No problem.. And ahjusshi?" The bartender chuckled as he poured the vodka into a shot glass.
"Whoops!" I laughed out loud.
"What's your name?" He asked, leaning forward.
"I'm.. Ailey," I closed my eyes, smiling as my body swayed.
"Nice to meet you, Ailey. Because you're cute, I'll let you have this one on the house," he winked as he slid the glass towards me.
"Omo! What a kind, kind, kind man!" I bowed a few times in a space of five seconds.
"So, how about you tell me your number, Ailey-ssi?" He smirked, passing me a little paper.
Even though I was drunk, he was an attractive, young bartender. At the time, I couldn't differentiate between whether or not he was being flirtatious; to me, it seemed all the same.
"My number? I don't know," I furrowed my brows, thinking.
"Here's mine. Call me one day." He folded a paper as he attempted to lean against the bar to tuck the little paper in my front pocket.
"What are you doing?" A recognisable voice asked as I confusingly turn around to see Woohyun, staring at me.
"This ahjusshi is so kind! I mean, bartender!" I replied.
"Do all kind bartenders give customers something such as that paper you're holding? Please correct me if that is not your number written in there," Woohyun locked eyes with the bartender. His gaze showed anger.
"Whoa.. Is she your partner?" The bartender's eyes flickered between me and Woohyun.
"Ailey, follow me." Woohyun demanded, pulling me along with him through the people.
"Aigoo! Talk to you later!" I yelled, glancing over at the bartender one last time. "Woohyun! It hurts!" I shriek.
Woohyun pulled me into a small, narrow corridor as I wince, rubbing my wrist once he lets go.
"Could you not see that he was flirting?" He shouted.
"Why are you yelling?!" I shouted back as I frowned, still drunk.
"Did you not see him hitting on you?" He asked.
"Hitting on me?"
"What is this then? Why would a bartender give you his number?" He pulled out the scrap paper with a number written in biro. "You're drunk."
"Let me go drink again! Stop ruining the night," I sulked as he pulled me back again.
"Boys are hitting on you and you don't even realise," he sighed. "Do you know how I feel?"
"What do you feel like, Woohyun?" I leaned against the crimson coloured wall, crossing my arms as I tried to stay stood up.
"Annoyed and jealous."
"Why are you feeling jealous? It's not like I'm gonna date any of them," I replied, feeling angrier than before.
"They're hitting on you! Of course I'll feel jealous. You're not even rejecting them either because you're not sober enough to flipping realise what they're doing!" He screamed as I flinched.
"What is your problem?!" I spat.
"My problem is you."
"Yeah and you are too!" I angrily replied, storming out the corridor.
"Ailey, wait." He huffed. "I said, wait," he sighed as he held onto my forearm.
"I just want to have a good night out and you're ruining it."
"I can't just let that bartender hit on you whilst you let him do so and not understand the situation," he said in a calmer tone.
"I wouldn't be that foolish if he tried to do anything beyond that, Nam Woohyun," I gritted my teeth.
"You should've known what he was doing, Park Ailey."
"Well I didn't."
"Please just don't make me feel this horrid jealousy again," he rubbed his eyes.
"Or what?" I raised my eyebrow.
"I won't let it go so easily." He pressed his palm against the wall, watching me closely. "Because you're mine."
He enveloped me in a tight hug, pulling me into a passionate kiss as I willingly followed.
"I'm sorry for acting like this," he whispered after releasing his lips from me as I nodded.
"I'll be careful," I murmured as my lips pressed against his collarbone.
"That was an intense moment."
