Lets Break Each Others Heart-Chapter Two

Start from the beginning

“What’s wrong?” Alijah asked, bending down towards me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and I began to sob quietly.

“I saw him,” I whispered in his ear. Alijah pushed me softly and stared at me.

  “You’re kidding right?”

 “No, I bumped into him.”

“Did he recognize you?” I shook my head.

 “No.”

 “Then why are you crying?”

“Because I never thought I was going to bump into him,” I shot back. Alijah sighed.

“Aldabella, Dad told you if you couldn’t do this we could’ve stayed in Houston.”   I shook my head. I could do this. I could, I just had a bad meltdown. I could do this right? I mean it’s not like life was going to make it harder and let him go to my same school, right? I slammed my head on my knee. I couldn’t do this even if I tried.

“I can, I can do this,” I lied. Alijah picked me up and he carried me to my room. He sat me down on my bed and he sat across from me analyzing me.

“You know, I feel what you feel,” he said quietly. I nodded. Of course he did, he was my twin brother.

“I know.”

“Don’t freak out, maybe this is life giving you a second chance.”   I raised my right eyebrow at him.

“To do what?”

“I don’t know, Aldabella. I’m not life! Just stop living in that past. It’s a reason why it’s the past.”   He was right, the past was the past. Jeydon was just another guy that left my life. Alijah tucked in a strand of my hair behind my ear and he held my face in his two hands.

“He is the past,” he whispered.

I nodded. “I got it he is the past.” He smiled at me and he kissed my forehead.

“Goodnight,” he said as he stepped out the door.

 “Night,” I whispered.

I opened a small box that lay on my nightstand. I took a handful of pictures, and on each picture, Jeydon and I were together smiling and laughing. I laughed softly. “You always found a way to make me smile,” I whispered as I ran my finger through a picture of my birthday.

Jeydon wasn’t a bad guy. He treated me as if I was his everything. Everything was going so great.  We had just turned three years together and all of a sudden everything came crashing down. I place the pictures back to the box and I placed it back on the nightstand. I threw my jacket and shoes on the floor and I curled myself into a small ball and fell asleep.
