With a slight tilt of his head, he avoided a devastating punch. With a small step back, he dodged a sweeping kick. It was as if he could see every move before it happened.
Then, in one swift motion—
Indra caught Surya's wrist.
Before Surya could react, a golden surge of energy coursed through his body.
His vision blurred. His body froze. His newfound power suddenly felt like a crushing weight dragging him down.
"What... is this...?"
Indra's grip tightened.
"This is why the forbidden element was erased from history."
Then—he drove his knee into Surya's stomach.
CRACK!
Surya's eyes widened in pain as he was sent flying across the throne room once more, his body tumbling through debris before crashing into the remains of a marble pillar.
Blood dripped from his mouth. His entire body felt numb.
His golden aura flickered... then vanished.
The power was gone.
He lay motionless, gasping for air, as Indra walked toward him, spear in hand.
"Power without control is a curse," Indra said. "You are not yet worthy of wielding it."
He raised his spear.
"This is where it ends, Prince of a fallen kingdom."
Surya tried to move, but his body refused.
"I can't... move..."
Saria and Rohan had recovered, but they were too far away to reach him in time.
Indra's spear descended.
And then—
CLANG!
A flash of blue steel intercepted the attack.
Indra's eyes narrowed as his spear was blocked by a massive curved blade.
A man stood before Surya, holding a gigantic battle-axe with one hand. His crimson-red cloak billowed from the force of the impact, and his eyes—sharp and menacing—glowed with a deep scarlet hue.
He turned his head slightly, smirking.
"You looked like you needed some help, kid."
Surya barely managed to lift his head.
"Who... are you...?"
The man grinned.
"The name's Varun Singh. And if you want to live—stay down."
Indra's expression darkened as he took a step back.
"Varun Singh..." he muttered. "The Bloodfang Warrior."
Saria gasped. "That's... the rogue warrior with Demon Grade strength!"
Rohan clenched his fists. "Why is he here...?"
Varun cracked his neck, resting his massive axe on his shoulder.
"Normally, I wouldn't care about some fallen prince." His scarlet eyes gleamed as he turned toward Indra. "But when the Vajra Empire starts breaking divine laws, even I have to get involved."
Indra's grip on his spear tightened.
"Do not interfere."
Varun grinned wider.
"Or what? You'll kill me?"
The tension between them grew thick—two monstrous warriors standing face to face.
Surya, still struggling to move, felt something new in his heart.
A spark.
A fire.
A new determination.
"This isn't over."
As the battle between Varun Singh and Emperor Indra was about to unfold, Surya knew one thing—
He would survive.
And one day, he would return to settle this battle himself.
