Karina's heart raced as she waited for Minjeong's response, a mix of worry and annoyance coursing through her. The thought of Minjeong putting herself in danger was unbearable, especially when it was for something as trivial as a text message.

Minjeong's reply popped up on Karina's screen, the flirtatious tone unmistakable.

[ 10:38 p.m ] Aww, are you worried about little old me, Karina? That's so sweet :)

Karina's heart fluttered at the message, a warm feeling spreading through her chest. She bit her lip, considering her response. Part of her wanted to scold Minjeong for being careless, but another part was charmed by her playfulness.

[ 10:40 p.m ] Only because I don't want anything to happen to you, you silly.

Karina typed back, a small smile playing on her lips.

[ 10:41 p.m ] Now hurry up and get home, so I can stop stressing.

As she hit send, Karina found herself looking forward to Minjeong's next message, already feeling a sense of connection and affection towards her.

[ 10:44 p.m ] Don't worry, I'm a pro driver ;)

Minjeong replied playfully, her message accompanied by a wink emoji.

[ 10:45 p.m ] Besides, I'm almost home now, so you can relax.

Karina couldn't help but chuckle at Minjeong's confident response. She shook her head, a fond smile on her face as she typed out her next message.

[ 10:47 p.m ] A pro driver, huh? Well, I'll have to see that for myself sometime.

Karina wrote, her tone teasing.

[ 10:48 p.m ] Just remember, safety first, okay? I'd hate to have to come rescue you if something happens.

As she waited for Minjeong's response, Karina found herself feeling more at ease, the initial worry giving way to a sense of playful banter and growing affection.

Suddenly, Karina's phone rang, Minjeong's name flashing on the screen. Karina was so surprised that she instinctively declined the call, her finger swiping across the screen without thinking.  As soon as she realized what she had done, Karina's heart sank. "Oh no," She muttered.

Meanwhile, Minjeong stared at her phone in confusion, wondering why Karina had declined her call. She waited for a moment, expecting Karina to call back, but when her phone remained silent, Minjeong's brow furrowed in concern. She decided to send a text instead.

Minjeong's text popped up on Karina's screen, her words apologetic and concerned.

[ 10:57 p.m ] Hey, I called because I thought talking might be easier than texting, especially since you seemed worried

[ 10:57 p.m ] But if calling makes you uncomfortable, I'm really sorry

[ 10:58 p.m ] I didn't mean to invade your space or anything

Karina's heart ached at the thought that she might have made Minjeong feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. She quickly typed out a response, her fingers shaking slightly as she tried to convey her sincerity.

[ 11:00 p.m ] No, no, it's okay!

[ 11:00 p.m ] I'm sorry I declined your call by accident. I was just surprised, that's all.
