All I Do

Chapter Eight

"I learned how to do a cartwheel mari, look!" mora said making sure i was actually paying attention to her.

"lemme see boo" I said looking up from my phone.

I started to record, just for memories.

she started doing multiple cartwheels around the living room, after her last one she started posing making me laugh.

"period, good job moraa" I said stopping the recording.

"thank you" she said smiling showing her missing two front teeth.

Jordan was upstairs trying to get Kemir to take a nap, so she wouldn't be down here for a while.

As Mora and I were chillin the front door opened revealing her dad.

"yea but- oh wassup Mari" he said pulling the phone away from his ear as he closed the door.

"hey mr. marcus" I smiled.

"Hi daddy" Mora said running up to him causing him to pick her up.

"hey baby girl" he smiled placing a kiss on her forehead.

"Look daddy, i painted my nails" she said showing her nails to him as they went towards the back into his room closing the door just as Jordan came downstairs.

with an awake kemir.

I laughed, "it's not funny, he's fighting his sleep so bad for no reasonn" she whined.

"lemme see him" I said opening my arms.

she handed him to me before going into the kitchen getting something from the fridge.

"have you ate mama?" she asked looking at me.

"i'm not hungry"

"that's not what i asked Zamari" she turned giving me a knowing look.

"no i didn't eat"she shook her head pulling out another of what ever she got.

"kemir you not sleepy?"

I shifted him in my lap to where he was laying against my arm, since he started to lean.

"bro he's fake, why is he falling asleep" she mugged sitting down.

I slowly picked him up and layed him on the couch next to me before grabbing his blanket off the couch and placing it over him.

"you know, he's trying to talk to you" she said laying her head on my lap.

"I'll talk to him tomorrow i guess, I just find it weird that he would do that without talking to me to see how i would feel" I spoke playing with her hair.

"yea i feel you baby, no rush" She mumbled softly.

"girl you sleep, cmon let's go upstairs" I laughed.

Her dad came out in a black sweatsuit, "yall go ahead nd do whatever, i'm taking them to their grandmas house anyways" he said picking up Kemir as Mora followed watching her Ipad.
