Alpha Pact

Derek's knee bounces up and down in anxiety, millions of thoughts going through his head. 'How do I save Cora and Cassidy?' and 'Where is Cassidy?' and 'Oh God she's pregnant again and she's in danger.'

Cora lets out a slight cough, moaning in pain. Isaac walks over and stands over the three, breaking the silence.

"She's dying, isn't she?" Isaac asks.

Derek responds without moving his gaze from his younger sister. "I don't know."

"So, what are you gonna do?" Isaac tasks again, irritation already bubbling inside him.

Derek's quiet for a moment before answering, his voice quiet. "I don't know."

Isaac sighs, running his hand through his hair before he speaks, his voice tense and full of worry. "Want to figure something out? Do you get how many people she's killed? Erica and Boyd are dead. Cora is dying. CJ is missing! And you are doing nothing!"

Isaac takes a deep breath before continuing. "Why'd you do this to us, Derek? Was it all about the power? Were you bored? Were you lonely despite having a family of your own?"

Derek sighs and looks up at Isaac. "Maybe."

Isaac shakes his head and steps away while Derek continues."I told Cora I wouldn't leave. I'll help the others when I figure out how to help her--"

"There's no time!" Isaac yells. "The full moon's coming. The Sheriff, Melissa, and CJ -- your girlfriend and mother of your child -- are gonna be dead, so I'm gonna try and help them. You can sit here and perfect the art of doing nothing."

Isaac than turns, walking out of the loft and slamming the door behind him.

Peter begins descending the stairs, entering his opinion on the situation. "I wouldn't take it personally. Anger is just a tool. He's using it to excuse shifting allegiance from one Alpha to another-- from you to Scott."

Derek shakes his head, looking at Peter, "Scott's not an Alpha yet."

"But he's on his way, isn't he?" Peter points out.

Derek looks away, scoffing. "I don't care about power, not anymore."

Peter looks at him like he's stupid. "No? Well what about CJ? Huh? Your best friend, mother of your child? Yes, I commend you for keeping your promise to Cora, but what about Cassidy? You're just going to let her die!"

Peter finishes off in a yell, pissed at his nephew. Regardless of the past and whatever may happen in the future, deep down, Peter cares for CJ and likes to think she cares about him too.

"You think I'm going to let her die!?" Derek stands, anger thick in his voice. "I am terrified and have absolutely no idea what to do. My little sister is dying, my son is probably going to have nightmares for years because of what he's been through since we moved back here, and the love of my life was kidnapped and is pregna-"

"CJ is pregnant!" Peter exclaims, eyebrows raised and a shocked expression on his face. "How the hell did that happen?"

"Well Peter, when 2 people love each other very mu-" Derek answers in a deadpan manner.

"Shut it." Peter exclaims. "What are you going to Derek?"

Derek turns to the two people on the bed, reaching down to run his hand through Jason's hair. Even through the yelling, and having the wolf ears, his son is still asleep.

"I don't know." Derek states, taking his previous seat.

Derek sits on the edge of the bed, grabbing Cora's hand to continue to take her pain away. Jason sits on his lap, eating an ice pop.
