"What do you mean she's gone?" I growled, slowly leaning forward over my desk, mustering the coldest glare I could towards Alex. "You're assigned to her, Alex. Where the fuck did she go with my son?"

Alex looked like a cornered rat, his eyes darting around the room, avoiding my gaze. "I-I'm sorry, sir. I went to my bed when I saw that they were asleep. I didn't hear anything or-"

"You're not answering my question," I snapped, the barely contained rage bubbling in my chest. "Where did she go?!"

"I don't know, sir. She stole one of the youngest guard's car and drove off with it." He explained, not at all helping my spiraling frustration.

I sighed heavily, the anger in my chest rising with each passing second. "Go get Allen."

I swear to God, if that punk had anything to do with them leaving, I was going to decorate these damn walls with his blood.

Alex returned moments later with Allen in tow. Lyric's idiot brother looked around the room with wide, lost eyes, like a deer caught in headlights. "Wassup?"

"Where is she?" I said lowly, my voice a dangerous rumble.

His frown deepened. "Who?"

"Your sister! She took my son and left! Where the fuck is she, Allen?"

Shock registered on his face, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. "S-she left?"

"Yes!" I roared, slamming my fist on the mahogany desk, making both men jump.

"I didn't know-"

"Great, another person who doesn't know," I scoffed sarcastically. "Someone better tell me something about their whereabouts in thirty fucking minutes, or everybody in this bitch is going to have a broken neck." I looked at Alex. "Find out everything you can about that car. Every street it's been on, every gas station it's stopped at. I want to know where Lyric is heading, Alex. And I want to know it now."

"Sir." Allen nodded, turning around swiftly to leave my office. I glared at his retreating back until Alex cleared his throat, reminding me he was still standing there, useless as ever.

I could feel the anger radiating off me, hot and suffocating. Lyric. That little firecracker had some nerve pulling this shit. After her little dramatic meltdown in my driveway, I was already over her shit but now? I'm fed the fuck up.

All I wanted was my son. For him to be back here, safe and sound and with me.

I started pacing, the expensive Persian rug doing little to muffle my heavy footsteps. Thirty minutes. It felt like a lifetime.

Allen's mumbled interrupted my not so pleasant thoughts of murdering Lyric in her sleep. He paced the room, mirroring my anxiety. "I can't believe she just left me here," he mumbled, running a hand through his hair. "And she took Trevor?"
