Keshav, however, was still too shaken to appreciate the royal aesthetic.

Vikrant’s gaze locked onto him, assessing, unreadable. "Who are you?"

Keshav swallowed hard. "I—I… was just exploring. I swear I didn’t mean to—"

He trailed off, his voice shaky. His hands still trembled slightly, and he hated it. He was always the guy who laughed things off, but right now? His mind was still stuck on the guns pointed at him.

Vikrant noticed.

He studied him for a moment before speaking again, this time his tone softer. "It’s okay. You’re safe now."

Keshav exhaled, but his racing heart wasn’t slowing down.

Vikrant turned to the guards. "He is not an intruder. Stand down."

The guards gave reluctant nods before stepping back, but their expressions remained cautious.

Vikrant shifted his attention back to Keshav. "Breathe."

Keshav exhaled, trying to steady himself. What was happening??

After a moment, Vikrant spoke again. "What’s your name?"

"K-Keshav."

"Why are you here?"

"I… uh… I just wanted to see the palace." His voice still held traces of nervousness.

Vikrant sighed "You do realize this is the royal family's private wing?"

Keshav blinked, and for the first time since this disaster started, a small nervous chuckle escaped him. "Yeah… I was kinda hoping no one else would realize that."

Vikrant arched a brow. The fear in Keshav’s eyes had faded, replaced by his natural lightheartedness.

The silence stretched for a second before Keshav suddenly blurted out, "By the way, amazing palace you’ve got! Like, really top-tier royalty vibes. Almost feels like a movie set."

Vikrant blinked. The sudden shift in Keshav’s mood threw him off.

The kid had been terrified moments ago, but now? He was back to joking.

Vikrant sighed. "You’re lucky I found you before someone else did."

Keshav grinned, confidence returning. "Yep, I was totally handling it before you showed up."

Vikrant raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, fine, I wasn’t." Keshav sighed, rubbing the back of his head, his usual grin slowly returning. "But man, that was intense! First time I’ve ever had a gun pointed at me… not fun, by the way."

Vikrant smirked slightly at the sarcasm but didn’t comment.

He turned to the guards. "Let him go. And inform security not to shoot first next time."

The guards nodded and stepped back.

As Keshav walked beside Vikrant, he stole a glance at the man. There was something oddly familiar about him.

And Vikrant?

He didn’t know why, but something about Keshav’s presence felt strangely… warm.

Little did they know, this was just the beginning of their unexpected connection.

Vikrant walked through the grand corridors of Rajvansh Palace, Keshav trailing behind him. The palace was a masterpiece—intricately carved pillars, chandeliers that looked straight out of a fairy tale, and paintings that told stories of a royal legacy. The air was heavy with silence, broken only by the faint echo of their footsteps against the marble flooring.
