One week later
The morning sun filtered through the large windows of the hospital room casting a soft glow over the space kartik sat on the edge of the bed gently holding naira's hand his thumb caressing the back of her palm after an entire week in the hospital the day of her discharge had finally arrived
A soft knock on the door broke the comfortable silence and soon the doctor walked in with naira's discharge papers in hand
Doctor: (smiling) Good morning Mrs Goenka Aaj aapka discharge hai aapki reports kaafi positive hai lekin abhi bhi aapko pura rest aur proper care ki zaroorat hai
Naira: (smiling faintly) Thank you doctor Main bhi ghar jaane ke liye excited hoon
Kartik ever the protective husband leaned slightly forward his expression serious
Kartik: Doctor kuch special instructions hai jo naira follow karni chahiye main chahta hoon ki naira jaldi recover kare bina kisi dikkat ke
The doctor nodded approvingly at kartik's concern and handed him the discharge summary
Doctor: Bilkul Naira ko kam se kam ek mahine tak pura rest chahiye Stress bilkul avoid karein heavy work ya physical exertion se door rahein medicine time pe leni hai aur agar kabhi dizziness ya pain zyada lage toh bina deri kiye hamain contact karein
Kartik: (nodding) Main poori tarah dhyaan rakhunga doctor Yeh meri responsibility hai
Doctor: (smiling) Mujhe isme koi shak nahi Bas ensure karein ki naira achhe se diet le aur hydration maintain rakhein Yeh important hai
Naira: (teasingly) Doctor mujhe lagta hai aapko yeh instructions kartik ke liye bhi likhni chahiye Yeh itna stress le raha hai ki shayad mujhe se yeh pehle bimaar pad jaye
Kartik rolled his eyes but a small smile tugged at his lips
Doctor: (chuckling) Well Mr Goenka thoda aap bhi relax karein tabhi patient bhi comfortable rahegi
Kartik: (smirking) Main relax kar sakta hoon sirf jab meri jaan bilkul safe ho
The doctor shook his head with amusement before handing naira her final prescription
Doctor: (smiling) Alright aap discharge ke liye ready hai nurse aake paperwork complete kar degi Take care Mrs Goenka and get well soon
With that the doctor left and within a few minutes the nurse arrived to remove naira's IV line and finalize the formalities kartik helped naira sit up carefully adjusting the pillows behind her
Kartik: Theek ho Kahi dard toh nahi ho raha
Naira: Main theek hoon kartik bas ghar jaane ka intezar hai
Kartik smiled and leaned forward pressing a soft kiss on her forehead he then helped her to her feet wrapping his arm protectively around her waist for support naira's movements were slow but with kartik's help she managed to change into the comfortable cotton dress he had brought for her
Once everything was done Kartik helped her into the wheelchair he took a deep breath before pushing her towards the exit his heart filling with a mix of relief and determination
At goenka villa everyone was already waiting for them their faces painted with expressions of concern and love though some of them were nothing more than were masks manish swarna and dadi stood at the forefront their eyes carefully veiling their true emotions
As the car stopped in front of the grand entrance the singhania and goenka families rushed outside to welcome naira home Naksh and naitik immediately stepped forward to help kartik as he carefully assisted naira out of the car
Akshara: (teary-eyed) Meri beti wapas aa gayi
Naitik: Beta andar chalo tumhe aur rest ki zaroorat hai
Bhabhimaa and devyani showered naira with blessings while misti trisha and mansi clung to her side not wanting to let go surekha akhilesh and the rest of the family followed suit expressing their happiness at her return
But standing behind them unnoticed by all manish swarna and dadi exchanged a glance a silent communication only they understood they had been the masterminds behind naira's accident they had planned to eliminate her to regain control over kartik
Dadi: (thinking) Naira tum bach toh gayi ho lekin yeh kismat hamesha tumhara saath nahi degi hum tumhe hamesha ke liye hata kar rahenge
Manish: (thinking) Abhi toh bas pehla kadam tha agla vaar aur zyada soojh boojh se karna hoga
Swarna despite her usual soft demeanor had an unreadable expression while she had hesitated at first she ultimately sided with her husband and mother-in-law for her kartik's separation from his family was unacceptable
Swarna: (thinking) Bas thoda aur sabr Kartik Jaldi hi tum waapas apni asli jagah par aa jaoge aur naira hamesha ke liye tumhari zindagi se nikal jayegi
Inside the house in the kartik's room
After much fussing and care from the family Kartik finally took naira to their room the moment they stepped inside he locked the door and turned to face her
Kartik: (softly) Ab tum araam karogi koi stress nahi koi tension nahi Sirf tum main aur tumhari health
He guided her to the bed and helped her lie down comfortably before covering her with a soft blanket Sitting beside her he brushed a few strands of hair away from her face
Naira: (whispering) Tum itna tension mat lo Kartik main theek ho jaungi
Kartik: (firmly) Main bas yeh soch bhi nahi sakta ki tumhe koi tumhe nuksaan pohchane ki koshish karega Jisne bhi yeh kiya hai usse uski saza milkar rahegi
Naira placed her hand over his squeezing it gently
Naira: Aur hum saath milkar sach tak pahunchenge tum akele nahi ho kartik
Kartik felt warmth spread through his chest at her words he leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss on her forehead
Kartik: Haan saath milkar
As naira closed her eyes to rest kartik stared out of the window determination burning in his gaze he would find the culprit he would uncover the truth And when he did there would be no mercy
But he don't know the enemy he was searching for was living under the same roof smiling right in front of him

Dadi: (thinking deeply) Iska sirf ek hi hal hai Naira ko hamesha ke liye is ghar se nikalna hoga lekin is baar bina kisi shaque ke
Manish: (raising an eyebrow) Kya kehna chahti hai aap maa
