Daruk drives me home first, Link sitting in the front while I sit in the backseat middle. He doesn't give us time to chat at all, taking up the entire ride by telling me about his gym. Something about no matter hard anybody trains, nobody can beat his records.

I occasionally chimed in, only because I felt bad. Link was dead silent the entire time other than a nod or a quiet noise of agreement. He was quiet back at the gym, too. What's his issue?

"Ah- right here is good," I tell Daruk quickly when he pulls into my street. "Thank you so much."

The car slows into a break as Daruk turns back to look at me. "You sure? I could bring you right up to your house."

My head shakes on its own accord. "No no, I'm alright here, its only a bit further down."

His warm blue eyes study me for a couple moments, before relenting with a nod. He tells me goodbye, and Link gives me a small wave.

I walk up the sidewalk to my house. Even though I don't look back, I could still feel Daruk waiting there until he sees me walk up to my house. The car spurs as it makes a U turn.

My house is just as dull as always. Most would call it beautiful, for its porch and large exterior. It was a house fit for a politician, that's for sure. Nothing significant in there for me, though.

"I'm home," I call, my voice drifting through empty halls. Laying my loafers next to the rest of the shoes, I venture in the house for Father.

Surprisingly, I don't have to look far, because the minute I step near his office he emerges.

His furrows brow and stern gaze tells me he wasn't in a particularly cheer mood.

"Father-" I begin, just as he interrupts, "Where were you today?!"

I pause, unsure of what he's speaking of. Its only natural for me to be gone during the day for — My heart stops.

School. I skipped school.

Me.

Zelda Hyrule.

Skipped school!

I launch into internal panic at the realization. Oh Goddess, I've brought shame onto my entire family! I'm lost for an excuse, and the truth isn't the best option either. Father's glare intensifies, waiting for an answer.

"I..." I swallow. "I apologize, Father."

"That doesn't answer the question." Father demands.

Biscuits of a bokolin! "You would not believe me if I told you."

Father raises an eyebrow in challenge. "Amuse me."

My entire brain does a 360. Did Father truly just ask me for an explanation on where she I? Was it possible he wants to hear me out? But could I tell him? If he believed me, surely he would cause an issue. And if Ganon got in trouble, which would get back to Dinraal—...

"If I find you around these parts, or digging into shit about me to 'clear your name', I'll fucking kill you."

Not only do I worry for my own life, but I worry for Father's as well. Was Dinraal truly monster enough to go after my loved ones? I don't think I want to find out.
