Third pov:
The bottle dangled loosely from Ajay's fingers, amber liquid sloshing dangerously close to the edge. He sat slumped on a cracked crate, head thrown back against the cold concrete wall, the night heavy with the stench of spilled alcohol and old regrets.
The warehouse — once alive with whispers and conspiracies — now echoed only with his breathing... and his memories.
He remembered it all.
Three months ago.
The night everything changed.
Flashback three months ago, The day Reena made him escape from jail (during the 50th anniversary of company)
While Rudhran's house bloomed with laughter and light, far away, in the rotting carcass of an abandoned warehouse, a different story unfolded.
It was Reena who had made it happen — desperate, foolish, obsessed.
She had paid a fixer, a man who worked in shadows, to pull Ajay out of the iron jaws of prison.
While her own father rotted away in a cell, Reena chose Ajay.
Without hesitation. Without question.
After his escape, Ajay stayed low, lurking among the rust and ruin, rebuilding his lost connections, summoning the hyenas of his old world with whispered promises of blood and gold.
And through it all, Reena was by his side.
Faithful.
Blind.
But tonight — tonight, she was different.
Her hands trembled slightly over the swell of her belly, her eyes wide with terror and hope.
She was carrying his child.
And she wanted a future.
Ajay's face twisted with revulsion. He never wanted to settle down but Reena wanted him to be with her. She helped him to escape not because to revenge Rudhran family but becasue she wanted him to be with her, but Ajay being Ajay.
Ajay, standing across the room, stared at her with eyes that had long since lost any humanity. His rugged face was harsher now — unshaven, his hair messily falling across his forehead, dark circles under his bloodshot eyes.
He looked like a man who had clawed his way out of hell.
Reena stood in the center of the dimly lit space, her hands trembling slightly over her slightly swollen belly. Her eyes — once sparkling with devotion — were now heavy with silent pleas. Around them, Ajay's gathered men watched uncomfortably, sensing the tension crackling like a live wire.
"You've gone soft, Reena," Ajay snarled, his voice dripping venom as he hurled a bottle against the wall, glass shattering like their once twisted bond.
"I saved you!" Reena screamed back, tears glistening down her cheeks. "I let my own father rot in jail for you! I gave up everything for you, Ajay! This child... it's yours!"
Ajay laughed cruelly, taking a slow menacing step toward her. "Is it?" he sneered, narrowing his bloodshot eyes. "Or were you warming someone else's bed while I was rotting inside that damn cell?" Reena's heart shattered, but still, she staggered forward, clutching his shirt, her tears falling like rain.
"This baby... it's yours!" she whispered brokenly. "I love you, Ajay... only you... always you."
The men around them — Ajay's old connections — looked away awkwardly, feeling the thick tension but too afraid to intervene.
Ajay's lips twisted into a cruel smirk. He raised his hand — and instead of pulling her into an embrace like she hoped — he slapped her viciously across the face.
Reena stumbled, a sob ripping from her throat.
"You love me?" he snarled. "Or are you just a pathetic bitch, clinging to a man who never gave a damn?"
