Planet of Extinct [Completed]

"I mean it. I saw someone walking here. That's not any of you" the little tiger cub said.

"Kin, it's not something you can joke about" Mona shook her head. 😕

"I am not joking. I am serious. Please trust me" Kin was practically begging and it was hard to neglect his pleas. Though he was a kid, he was more mature enough than some adults on this planet. He was persistent and stuck to his words.

Saish and Mona exchanged looks. Their thoughts started reeling. If Kin was even remotely right about the situation, they would be in deep trouble. Humans walking on this planet?! It's not even possible. If that's happening, then there is a breach in something they can't quite figure out.

Mona swiftly turned to Root, "Is there any possibility you can patrol sometime in the day and make sure we don't have any intruders? Please" she asked.

"Why are you pleading with him? He has no other option except to follow your orders," Saish glared at Root.

"Because she has manners that you clearly don't have" air gushed out from Root's nostrils.

Mona sighed. She patiently waited for them to stop but they were not taking the name of stopping. "STOP. We have more important problems to deal with than having you quarrel."

They did stop the words but not the glares. That, too, didn't last for a long time. Saish detested Root with every cell of his body, and Root didn't make it any better. He always took great pleasure in getting on Saish's nerves.

"It's all your fault she is angry" Root whisper-shouted at Saish.

"If not for you being a jerk, I need not intervene", Saish countered.

"Shh", Mona and Kin silenced them once more.

"I am yet waiting for your reply Root. Will you be willing to help us out?"

"Anything for you princess" Root smiled.

"Don't call her princess!"

Root ignored him. So did Kin.

Mona leaned in and her lips almost brushed against his ears. "Nowadays, someone is getting jealous often. Before coz of Kin, now coz of Root. What's the matter?" coming back, she wiggled her brows.

Saish turned red. "I-I am n-not."

Mona chuckled.

Soon, the atmosphere turned serious as they proceeded with the safety of the planet. They called for an emergency meeting and briefed the situation to the recruits.

"Try covering your neighbourhood. Something suspicious let us know." Saish asked the rest to leave, except Zack, Root and Kin.

"Zack, be a bit more alert. Ask your team to assist you if it's getting too much. We can't have humans here that's not me or her, make sure you have your ears and eyes open all the time" Saish put his hand on Zack's shoulder as a sign of trust.

Soon, he left, leaving only the four of them.

"Well done, Kinny. Not bad", Mona ruffled the cub's fur.

"Go back to mumma now, Kin. She must be waiting for you. Good job" Saish smiled. He was impressed with the little one's dedication.

"Oki" Kin ran away in tiny.

"Root, you are the only one who can fly in all of us. Move high in the skies without getting noticed, be sneaky but swift. This planet needs you. I need you" Mona joins her head with the dinosaur.

"I promise princess. It is my responsibility now. I will find them and make sure to slit them to pieces for causing you distress." ⚠️

Mona giggled as he picked her up and placed her on his back before pulling reluctant Saish up, too. He touched the skies with them on their back. Showing them the world from a different perspective, the rivers breaking the continuity of the hills and flats. Animals shuffling. Birds flying in flocks. The sounds of nature. It's entrapping beauty.
