Mordred Pendragon POV
"So, you two want me to assist Chaldea?" I asked the floating blue orb in the sky and the woman with long green hair.
ALAYA and GAIA's respective avatars.
The area around us was an empty blue place surrounded by various color of lighting, red being the main one.
Alaya let out a pulse "that is correct with your current powers you'd be more than enough to deal with the singularities and ensure the elimination of Goteia's forces."
Gaia didn't speak at first she simply stared arms crossed under her rather ample chest, her expression a mixture of displeasure and reluctant agreement.
Her beauty was inhuman, her aura suffocating.
She was the planet itself made flesh and she was not fond of me.
Which was natural given how I constantly defied it's rule and had created the entity which topped both her own power and ALAYA.
"I don't really care what you have to do outsider just as long as my body is in no danger of destruction," she finally said.
So ungrateful I tell you.
I saved her from total extinction in the future and still she treats me like shit.
I let out a sigh "alright I'll do it besides it's not like I have much to do at the moment and I could really use the stretch for my legs," I said letting out a small smirk.
My eyes glowed with sparks of red lightening
Alaya let out another pulse "I will send you the coordinates to where Chaldea is located in the time stream and the coordinates of where the next singularity is good luck Mordred Pendragon."
It takes only a moment for the information to fill into my mind red lightning surges around my body and I ran forward following the coordinates towards the singularity.
The blue void of the speed force ripples and the surge of red electricity increases until finally a portal opens revealing an open world of grass, trees, and wyrms trying to burn down a village.
Ah so this would be the France singularity then I thought jumping out of the void I landed on one knee the red lightning crackling across my armor fading into the wind behind me.
My boots crushed a smoldering patch of grass as I stood tall eyes narrowing at the sight of the wyrms flying ready to unleash their flames to attack the village once more.
I unsheathed the sword hanging on my left Caliburnus Clarent.
"Not on my watch," I muttered under my breath rushing forward in a red blur and slammed right through one of the wyrms causing it to explode horrifically.
The other wyrms paused mid-flight, their beady eyes narrowing as they stared at me "what's the matter you guys mad?" I taunted.
Geez I feel like one of those cringe protagonists saying that note to self Mordred come up with better lines.
Raising my sword that was building up with crimson and orange electricity I charged forward again my form a blur of red lightning.
My boots left scorched footprints on the earth as I dashed across the battlefield.
The first wyrm tried to dodge its massive wings beating furiously to evade my approach but I was faster in an instant I was beside it my blade carving through its scales like butter. The wyrm's head detached from its body with a sickening crack its neck spilling blood in all directions as its limp body plummeted to the ground.
Two more wyrms descended upon me fire building in their maws one opened its mouth wide ready to unleash a torrent of flame but before it could even release its breath I was already there right in front of it.
I slashed with all the strength I could muster cutting through its jaw and sending its fiery attack spiraling off into the sky harmless. The wyrm's head fell away from its body leaving only the blood-slicked remains to drop from the air.
The remaining wyrm screeched in rage its entire body shaking with fury it unleashed a massive wave of fire but I raised my sword to block the attack.
Caliburnus Clarent hummed with a violent resonance as the flames collided with the blade the heat trying to consume me. But it was nothing I couldn't handle I twisted my wrist redirecting the blast of fire into the sky the flames dissipating into nothing.
In that moment time seemed to stretch I stood there unmoving surrounded by the falling bodies of wyrms the village behind me still intact. The villagers who had been cowering in fear moments ago slowly began to peek from behind their walls and shelters
"I wasn't impressed," I said sheathing the sword.
I turned my eyes scanning the village ahead of me the villagers were beginning to gather eyes wide with awe and disbelief. It wasn't often they saw someone strong enough to take on the wyrms and win.
One of the villagers a young woman stepped forward her face filled with gratitude.
"Th-thank you, sir! You've saved us all!" she cried her voice shaking I gave her a nod.
"It was no problem ma'am I couldn't really just stand by and let people die in front of me like that when I have the power to help," I said.
"Tell me do anyone of you perhaps know why these wyrms have been appearing?" I asked despite knowing that it was because of the fake Jeanne made by that monster Giles.
"IT WAS BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN DRAGON WITCH JEANNE'D ARC!!" a villagers raged out.
One by one they all began shouting different things I calmly listened doing my best to not let my irritation be visible until they finished.
From there I asked "does anyone know where I can find the witch or find any information on her?" they all shook their head except for an old looking priest who spoke up "you may want to check the city where she originally burned Rouen, but be warned stranger for you will only find death there"
I gave a small bow not at all phased by the priests words "in that case I'll be going there then, I wish you all the best of luck and advise you to hide yourselves before more of these creatures find you," I warned.
There was nothing else I could do for them anyway even if they did live, the singularity ending would just erase them.
It's seems cruel of me but after all of the things I've seen it my life it's just something I've forced myself to be numb towards.
One step then I was off disappearing in a red flash any incoming wyrms that were in my path I speed blitzed through leaving only a trail of body parts.
It takes only a few more minutes until I finally made it.
"Sweet baby Jesus this place really is a mass graveyard," I muttered spotting the incinerated buildings and bodies.
I could practically feel the hatred in that hung in the air from Jeanne Alter's rage.
Coming to a sudden halt in front of a burnt pile of wood and straws "this must be where the original was burned," I said feeling both anger and slight sadness for the Saint of France that died so unfairly after everything she did for the country.
"Repose en paix cher Saint," I muttered a short prayer in French.
My eyes locked onto the slightly burnt cross necklace that laid under a few burnt straws "ah right this is the same cross that she received from that girl," I said remembering a flashback from the fate apocrypha timeline.
I knelt down brushing aside the ashes and debris with a gloved hand gently picking up the scorched necklace. It was charred but still intact the small silver cross dulled with soot yet somehow it still felt sacred "it's been blessed with her light," I observed with slight surprise feeling the holy energy within it.
I stood again, placing the necklace around my neck.
I wasn't much of believer but I figured that I should at least keep it on my person until I encountered her Ruler self.
