The training fields were already alive with noise - clashing blades, barked instructions, the thud of boots against damp grass. Seokjin had taken to watching from the shaded edge, arms crossed, expression unreadable as the finalists practiced in turn. Two days had passed like wind. The duel was going to be held tomorrow, and Seokjin couldn't sit around and not know what Namjoon was up to.

Namjoon was in the ring again, this time facing off against Jungkook in a fluid, almost rhythmic spar. His movements were sharp, efficient—less for show, more for purpose. But when his eyes flicked toward Seokjin between maneuvers, he didn't look away.

Seokjin held his gaze for a moment too long. Jungkook noticed. After the bout ended and the brothers paused to rehydrate, Jungkook grinned around the edge of his water flask. "You're not even subtle anymore", he said under his breath.

Namjoon merely smirked and wiped the sweat from his jaw with the hem of his shirt. "Neither is he". Across the field, Seokjin had drifted closer, as if unintentionally. When Namjoon turned, towel draped over his shoulder, Seokjin was standing just within earshot, a faint arch to one brow.

"Morning," Namjoon said, casual as anything. "Sleep better last few nights?"

Seokjin gave him a look. "I might've".

"Might've?" Namjoon echoed with amusement, stepping slightly closer. "That's strange. I did too. Wonder what changed". Jungkook, conveniently, wandered off, muttering something about sharpening his blades. Seokjin ignored him. "You know", Namjoon continued, tone deceptively light, "I had this dream someone came to watch me train. Swore it wasn't real until now".

Seokjin narrowed his eyes, a ghost of a smile tugging at his lips. "Must've been a weird dream. You should drink more water". Namjoon chuckled under his breath, not bothering to hide his grin. "You keep walking into the woods at night and I might start expecting company".

"Careful, Mon", Seokjin said, the name slipping out like a secret, low and deliberate. "If I show up again, it won't be an accident". Namjoon's eyes flashed, just for a moment. His smile was slow and devastating.

"Then I'll start leaving the path lit for you". The blush the adorned Seokjin's cheek only made his heart try to leap out of his chest and into the omega's palms. "Watch out Namjoon-ah, people are watching" he mumbled, turning away.

Namjoon chortled, "I don't see anyone else when I'm looking at you". Seokjin pouted subconsciously, glaring at his playfully. A terrible, but adorable attempt to hide how flustered he was. "I need to go help Hoseok" the omega said, stepping away.

"You're coming to the woods for the walk tonight aren't you?" he called after him. "I might go to the stream instead today" Seokjin replied without looking back. Namjoon smiled, shaking his head.

Then he called Jungkook over. He needed as much preparation as he could get today.
