Author's pov.
Rudra walks through the corridor of the hospital with balloons in one hand and Naina's favourite cake in the other.
Thankfully, they reached the hospital in time and the doctors were able to stop her bleeding. She had to get blood transfusion and rudra was more than happy to donate.
He opens the door to her room slowly and enters inside. He tries not to make any sound as he keeps the balloons by the door and cake on the table.
Shreya is going to come from her college and then she is going to decorate the entire room as per the threats she has given to her brother.
"Why are you moving like a thief?"
Rudra turns around at Naina's voice, almost knocking the glass down.
"You are awake." He says.
"I am." Naina says.
Rudra turns on the light. Naina tries to sit up but winces at the pain. Rudra reaches her and helps her sit up by using the remote to lift the bed.
"How do you feel now?" Rudra asks.
He saw her just once when they rolled her out of the OT. She was going in and out of consciousness and then they shifted her into this private ward where she slept for hours which was much needed for her body.
"Much better." Naina says.
Her face looks exhausted. They pumped her with fluids to charge her up but the childbirth is very tiring and exhausting on top of being extremely painful.
Rudra drags the chair next to her and holds her hand. "What do you want to eat?"
"Can I have anything?" She asks.
"Yes. Doctor said you can eat anything as long as it is healthy for you." He says.
"I'll have the best white sauce pasta." She says.
"That's it?" He asks.
She nods her head, "For now."
He smiles as he caress the back of her hand with his thumb.
"How is kiaan?" Naina asks, missing her little angel already. She wants to keep him with her but she knows he needs to be in NICU to stay healthy.
"He is fine. His lungs are doing fine and he is healthy for a preemie." Rudra says.
"I'm glad. I was so worried about him in that room." Naina says as she recalls the gory and frightful details of the night, "I thought I wouldn't be able to get out of that room. I was so scared for him. I prayed to god that you would find me." She then looks at him with suspicion and asks, "How did you find me? He took my phone and threw it out of the car."
"There's a GPS tracker in your ring." Rudra answers.
Naina gasps, "really?"
"Yes."
"Why? Is it because you don't trust me?" Naina asks feeling quiet offended.
"Of course not. I trust you completely, now. But sometimes we have to take precautions for things we can't foresee, like whatever happened yesterday."
Naina raises an eyebrow, "Now? Why did you say now? Did you not trust me before?"
"Not when I gave you the ring. I still thought you would run away at the first chance you get." Rudra says. "You kept threatening to run away."
