Author's pov.

Naina kisses kiaan's head before handing him to his nurse. She breast fed him earlier and just held him in her arms until he fell asleep.

"I will miss him." Naina says as tears blur her vision.

"We will come back before his next feed." Rudra says as he keeps Naina's stuff in the bag.

"Still." She says as she caresses kiaan's head.

He was born with head full of hair. Rudra's mother had already predicted that because of all the heartburn naina had throughout the pregnancy.

After nurse takes kiaan back with her to the NICU naina climbs down the bed before rudra could help her.

It has been three days since naina gave birth. Her body is still tired and sore. Walking isn't as painful as it was in the beginning. The first step she took the day after she gave birth felt like hell. She almost cried at how painful it was and uncomfortable. Rudra helped her walk and gave her the first bath after giving birth.

A wardboy brings in a wheelchair. Naina settles down on it with Rudra's help. He keeps her handbag on her lap before pushing the wheelchair to the elevator himself.

"Are you sure kiaan will be fine? I dont want to leave him alone. What if he needs me?" Naina asks as he wheels her inside the elevator.

"He will be fine. Anik and two other guards will be watching over him at all the times. Dad is coming over too. Don't worry." Rudra answers as he press the button on the elevator and it starts it's descend.

Once it reaches the parking, the gates open and rudra rolls the wheelchair out of the elevator to his car. He opens the passenger door first before helping her get inside. Seeing her exhausted face he realise maybe she still needs time to recover.

Rudra bends over her seat as she leans back in it. "Maybe we can go tomorrow."

"Noo. I want to see her now." Naina says. She can't wait for one more day, not seeing her is only increasing her worry.

Rudra nods his head before walking around the car and sitting in the driver's seat. He helps naina with her seatbelt before putting his on and driving out of the lot.

Rudra makes sure to keep the ride as smooth and slow as he can to make it comfortable for her. Doctor has tied a belt around her stomach to help move her organs back to their place but they still need to be very cautious with her.

Meanwhile naina takes out her phone and messages anik to video call and show her kiaan. Anik does that almost immediately, showing baby kiaan from outside the NICU.

"He is so small. Sometimes when I hold him I realise how small he is." Naina mutters looking at the screen.

Rudra glances at the phone before looking back at the road. "He will gain weight and grow bigger in a few weeks. He is fine, sunshine."

"I wish things would have ended differently. I wanted to keep him safe inside of me for a few more days." Naina says and then adds, "but I am glad he is here with us. Safe and sound."

Soon they reach Naina's parent's house. She is coming back here after a long time. Girls usually like to be with their parents in this tough journey of pregnancy but rudra took great care of her and pampered her so much that she didn't feel the need to be anywhere other than her own home with her husband.
