Chapter 35 - "The Night the Storm Broke"

Jayjay's POV

The craving wasn't new.

It had been building in quiet moments-
When he reached for my hand without thinking.
When his fingers brushed my cheek in passing.
When he looked at me like I was something fragile and holy and his.

And I let it build. Let it simmer behind my ribs. Let it ache.

But tonight, with the rain outside and his hoodie on my skin and his eyes tracing me like I was the story he never finished drawing-

I broke.

"I need you," I whispered.

His head turned slowly. Eyes dark. Careful.

"Jay..."

"I'm not scared," I said. "I just-please don't be gentle unless you mean it."

He was quiet.

Then he moved.

And when he kissed me, it wasn't a question.

"You have no idea. On What im about to do" he murmured against her skin. As he laid me gently on the bed.

He knelt beside the bed. Roaming all over my body as if trying to memorise it.i wore his sweatshirt and shorts.it looked like it had been designed to bring him to his knees.

"Your killing me" he whispered as he slowly removed me clothes.

I swiftly got up hands already at waistband "its my turn.Your at a disadvantage"

He let out a low, disbelieveing laugh.
Like he couldn't believe his luck.

"Are you sure you want to see me lose control?"

"Thats exactly my plan." i said grinning.

He let me undress him slowly with delicious slowness.

When they were finally skin to skin he lowered himself on to me. Body tense.warm.

Breaths caught in throats.

My skin pressed to his, burning, needy, desperate.

He slid his hands down to me wet.

soaking.practically trembling with need. And when he dragged himself along my heat my back arched, needing more than what he was giving me.

As he slid inside just the tip.
Just a little.

A gasp escaped my mouth. Loud.

My hips shifted in a silent plea.and he gave in.pressing low.

He kissed me again. Deeper,harder,hotter.

I trembled beneath him. Nails digging in his back.chasing every thurst like it was anchoring me to the earth.

"Harder" i begged. He didnt hesitate. Took my legs and hooked them above his shoulders.

But it wasn't fast.
It wasn't careless.

He moved like he'd studied me. Like every sigh, every gasp, every arch of my back was something he wanted to learn-not just touch.

"Still okay?" he whispered in between kisses.

I nodded. "More than okay."

And he didn't say another word.

Just showed me-with every movement, every exhale-that he meant it.

Later.

The silence wasn't awkward.

It was warm.
Keifer had pulled me against his chest, my head tucked under his chin. His fingers traced lazy lines on my shoulder, and the soft rise and fall of his breathing grounded me.

I felt ruined-in the best way.

"I'm sorry if I was-"

"Don't," he said gently. "Don't apologize."

He sat up slightly, reaching over the bed to grab a hoodie and helped me slip it on. Then he kissed the top of my head.

"You don't have to be okay right now," he murmured. "You just have to be here."

He got up, disappeared for a second, and came back with water and painkillers. "Just in case."

I blinked at him.

"You're fussing."

"I'm caring. There's a difference."

I smiled-soft and sleepy. "You're really not going anywhere, are you?"

"Jay," he said, tucking the blanket tighter around me, "you could push me off a cliff and I'd still crawl back to carry you home."

"Romantic."

"Tragic."

We both laughed.

And for the first time... I didn't feel like I was too much.
Or too tired. Or too complicated. Or too broken.

I just felt held.

Loved.

Safe.
