One and Only

Staying Over

It's tremendously hot! Like on fire! I guess this is how it is in the desert in summer. I pull my shorts down and off and hold them with my fingers.

"No need for a strip show, Cupcake." Noah smirked, "Not that I wouldn't enjoy it or anything."

I rolled my eyes at him, "I took my shorts off because it's really burning in here!"

"Your welcome to take your shirt off, too."

I ignored his comment, "Is the heater on or something?"

"Probably."

"Then turn it off!" I felt my energy slowly drain as each sentence was said.

"Like I said, the thermometer's jacked up. I can't do anything about it. We're getting it checked tomorrow."

"Oh, well I better b-" And there's goes the last of my energy as I fall onto the sofa, still lightly sleeping but not having a single fiber in me that wants to get up. Besides, the couch is really comfortable. I hear a chuckle and then strong arms sliding underneath my knees and back and pick me up, off the couch. They start carrying me up, what I'm guessing, the staircase and lightly put me down on a soft bed.

Suddenly, it starts feeling icily cold, as if it were winter and it were snowing. I bring my knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around then tightly, trying to preserve some heat. But then I feel a warm blanket cover me and I relax a little. Unfortunately, the blanket's really thin so it's still cold. Then I feel something warm slide onto my right side and I cuddle up against it and it wraps their arms around me, bringing me closer. I sigh and fall into a heavenly sleep.

The next morning I wake up beside Noah. He's still sleeping and I can't help but notice how cute and innocent he looks. I smile at him and then notice our position. My face was about an inch away from his and our noses were centimeters from touching. His right arm was wrapped loosely around my waist and my left leg was thrown around his waist. I turned my head slightly to see what time it was. 5:00. Whew! Thank god I had woken up early! That means I can make an escape with out anyone noticing. I doubt they'll be awake. Then I can go home and sleep some more before it's time to go to school.

I slowly take my leg off his waist, watching his face and nothing else. I wrap my hand around his wrist and lift it a little, but he starts to stir and shuffles so he's facing the other way. Yes! It's easier to go away now!

I get off the bed and am about to leave when I think that I should probably leave some kind of note explaining where I went.

I open the first drawer of his nightstand and find a pen and notepad. I take the notepad out before ripping a page out and returning it back to its place.

I quickly scribble:

Went back to my house. See you at school. ~Cupcake

I smiled as I wrote Cupcake down.

I made my way downstairs and started walking to the backdoor when I heard a familiar feminine voice say, "Hi, Jade. Come sit here."

I turn around to see a very amused Jane watching me. I nod my head and comply, feeling very caught.

I sit down on the high chair in front of her.

"So?" she asks, "How was it?"

I feel really confused. What is she saying? How was what?

"Just cause I'm his mom doesn't mean you can't tell me." Jane continues. "Was it your first time?"

Huh? What is sh-Oh! I gasp and my eyes widen. She thinks we slept together! Well, technically we did, but she thinks we slept slept together.
