The classroom buzzed with the usual chatter until the teacher entered with a bright smile.
"Girls, I need names for those who wish to participate in the Janmashtami play. We're looking for someone to play Radha."

Heer's pen froze mid-note. She looked down, chewing her lip, clearly unsure. Priyanshi nudged her from the side.
"De na apna naam, Heer. Tu perfect hai is role ke liye."

(Give your name, Heer. You're perfect for this role.)

Heer shook her head nervously. "I? Are you sure? I mean will I be selected?."

But Priyanshi leaned closer with a playful glare. "Bas! Abhi haan bol, warna main khud tera naam bol dungi."

(Enough! Say yes now, or I'll give your name myself.)

Under her friend's determined insistence, Heer raised her hand shyly. The teacher noted her name, and Heer's heart thudded.

1 DAY  LATER.

The drama teacher's announcement rang in the corridor.
"Congratulations, Heer! You've been chosen to play Radha."

Her eyes widened, disbelief sparkling into joy. For the rest of the period she was unable to hide her grin, and the moment the lunch bell rang, Heer practically skipped toward the canteen.

Her braid bounced, and her face glowed with pure excitement. Spotting her group at their usual table, she ran to them, grinning widely.

"I got the role!" she burst out, her voice almost musical. "Main Shri Radha banne wali hoon Janmashtami function mein!"

(I'm going to play Shri Radha in the Janmashtami function!)

The gang erupted.

Rihaan's lips curled into a rare, proud smile. "Knew it. Who else could they choose?"

Krunal gave her a quick side hug. "Congratulations, Heer."

Priyansh jumped to his feet dramatically. "Oye hoye, hamari Heer banegi Radha! Radha Rani!" He bowed exaggeratedly, making Heer giggle.

Priyanshi clapped like she had known all along. "See? I told you!" She pulled Heer into a hug, swaying her side to side.

Mihir grinned and Aryan joined in with a fist-bump. "That's awesome, Heer! Totally deserved."

And just behind them, Rutvik watched silently. His aloof mask slipped for a moment as he caught her glowing face, her eyes shining brighter than usual. A small, soft smile tugged at his lips-unnoticed by everyone but carrying more weight than words.

Heer's laughter rang around the canteen, her happiness so infectious that even the corners of Rihaan's stern eyes softened. For a moment, the entire gang basked in her joy.
