3rd Person's POV

The park was bathed in a gentle golden hue - the hour when the sun began its slow descent, painting the world in soft amber light. The air carried the warmth of spring, laced with the scent of grass and faint traces of blooming flowers.

It was quiet here, far from the noise of the city and the chatter of students. Only the rustling of the trees and the rhythmic chirping of birds filled the silence.

Y/n sat on a bench near the pond, sketchbook balanced delicately on her lap. The tip of her pencil moved slowly, tracing the shape of a leaf floating across the water. The sunlight glimmered off the surface, scattering ripples of gold that danced with every breeze.

Shoto sat beside her, elbows resting on his knees, eyes fixed on the distance. His face was calm - that same unreadable calm she'd come to know well - but his gaze held thought, a quiet storm hidden beneath the stillness.

For a long while, neither spoke. The peacefulness between them was something rare, something they both cherished without needing to say so.

Until Shoto finally broke the silence.
"Five months," he said quietly.

Y/n blinked, lifting her gaze from the page. "Hmm?"

"The recommendation exam," he said. "Five months left until U.A."

She tilted her head slightly, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You've been training every day for it, haven't you?"

He nodded once. "Every morning and night. My father insists I don't waste time."
The faintest sigh escaped him - tired, almost bitter. "He says this is what I was born for."

Y/n's pencil paused mid-sketch. Her eyes softened as she looked at him. "And what do you say?"

Shoto turned to her, meeting her gaze. "I don't know yet."
There was no hesitation in his honesty - just quiet truth.

She gave a soft chuckle, resting her chin in her hand. "Then maybe that's something worth finding out before the exam."

He glanced at her, curiosity flickering in his mismatched eyes. "What about you? You haven't mentioned training much."

Y/n's fingers froze around her pencil. A small, unreadable smile crossed her face. "I haven't started."

He frowned. "You haven't?"

She shook her head. "No."

"Why?"

The breeze carried her silence for a moment. She closed her sketchbook, setting it gently beside her. "Because I don't think I need to."

He stared at her, his voice calm but tinged with confusion. "You mean... you're confident you're ready?"

She hesitated, eyes distant, lost somewhere beyond the pond's reflection. "Something like that."
