"Haha nah" he laughs with his signature smirk, it's actually been quite some time since you've seen him genuinely smile.

"Dave!"you whine with out shame he really did a number on me because this happens just about every day and there is no winning for me only giving in before a dig myself into a bigger hole.

"John" he mocks me crossing his arms

"Agg your impossible could you not even have waited until I got dressed?"

"And miss your hot bod I think not" for some reason I blush more at his statement but I really haven't the faintest clue to why

I let out a small growl and pull a shirt over your head "so what do you want to do today?"

"I don't know just something but I have to be back to the apartment by five, that is if Dirk is done pounding Jake into a wall by then" he chuckles

"Ew gross I did not need to know that"

"Oh yes you did everyone should keep up to date with all things strider all the time"

"I can do that if I did your ego would probably get bigger then it won't be able to fit into any doors"

"Whoa there Egbert calm down that high level of sass someone might get the wrong idea about you"

You roll your eyes "whatever dude, as too what we can do it's pretty hot today so I thought we could go out of ice cream"

"Sounds chill dude but I didn't bring any money with me" he says shrugging.

"No problem dude my dad left me forty bucks to do whatever with today"

"shit why didn't you say that instead of just going for ice cream we could go to a movie or something fun" he suggests

I thought for a moment before speaking up again,"could we go mini golfing!?" I ask hopefully.

"Yeah sure where you wanna go? I brought my car so we can go wherever"

"You don't have to drive there's an awesome one a five minute walk from here and it's attached to a ice cream shop so we could do both"

"Aw yis lets go" he says almost excited as you.

I gave him a toothy grin and grabbed the money off the kitchen counter and headed back to the front door where Dave stood scowling at his phone.

"Dave something wrong?"

I sighed,"not really I was just trying to get a hold of bro to uh check on ... Something" I hesitated slightly I don't really think I should tell him about Karkat yet he's not a person that is particularly believing of things like this.

"What is it we can go back to your house so you can do whatever you need too"

"No" I almost shouted,"it's nothing important lets just go if we don't get going soon we won't have enough time"

"Alright let's go!" He beams and I almost let out a sigh for relief as we started walking out the door to the place.

**one walk and half a game of mini golf later**
"Dave your such a cheater!" John pouts as I make another hole in one. We were fifteen holes into our eighteen game and I had already gotten four hole in ones and John had struck out (I have no idea if it's called that but he got too many strokes for that hole and got the max score for it) six times and threw his club into the water hazard out of frustration three times.

"Dude how am I supposed to cheat in mini golf?"

"Because you do it isn't humanly possible to play that good" he scoffs as he puts his ball down to take his turn.

"No that's no impossible what's impossible he how bad you're playing right now, like seriously we could get a monkey up in this place for completely ironic purposes of course and he would be able to play better than you are"

"Nu-uh"

"Yes-huh now take your turn so we can play the last three holes and I can finish whooping your ass already" I chuckle

John angrily swings his club and the ball misses the hole by a mile and this continues until he gives up and takes eight strokes for that hole.

This continues for the next two holes until you get to the creepy ass clown they use to collect your balls. There's a big sign in front of it that says getting the ball into the things demonic smiling mouth gets you a free ice cream of your choice at the adjacent ice cream shop. John motions for you to go first and you drop your ball onto the green and shoot but the clown closes it mouth letting out a creepy cackle and you shrug stepping back to let John go and he tosses his ball down distastefully swinging the club as hard as his noodley arms would allow him to. The ball speeds up and lands in the hole and his face lights up and he starts jumping up and down as a buzzer goes off singling that the hole had been won.

"Nice one Egbert" I congratulate him chuckling.

"Eat it Dave I finally beat you" he gloats doing a little victory dance.

"Yep you sure did I'm eat a supreme serving of defeat, I don't know if I'll have room for ice cream after that meal I was just served"

He gives you a slight glare as you walk back inside to return your clubs and the worker at the counter gives John his coupon for his free ice cream.

We both walk across the street to the little stand and order, me a banana split with chocolate ice cream and just strawberry sauce onto top and him with a vanilla sundae. You eat and idly chat about random shit until your both walking back to his house and your just passing a dollar general when you get an idea.

"Yo egderp you got any money left?"

"Yeah like ten bucks why?"

"Could we go in a buy a bag of double stuff Oreos? For that thing I was talking about earlier?"

"Yeah sure I'll be right back" he says and runs inside coming back seven minutes later with a bag of Oreos and a coke handing them to me.

"Thanks bro" I give him a friendly hug and we continue.

I decided to check my phone and saw that is was already 4:50 and swore silently,"shit John I gotta get home bro wants me for something" I said as we got to his house.

"Alright see you tomorrow" he waves as jump into my car and start driving home.

I arrive five minutes late but I don't really care and walk in to bro laying on the couch and I sit down too sitting on top of his legs.

"Hey lil man it's Monday so you know what tomorrow means"

"OH HELL NO"
