Instead of talking the girl just leaves, walking down the stairs.

Josh sighs, "Simon, I can't help but care and worry about her. She's extremely fragile and also a bomb. You hurt her, she'll self destruct" He says softly.

Simon lowers his eyes, looking to the floor. He knows it's true. He's playing with fire.

"She's twenty and still barely hanging by a thread, her psychologist told her parents that she should have recovered from her extreme anxiety by now but all it's doing is getting worse" Josh informs. "The reason she is staying here, staying with us is so I can take care of her before she leaves and so hopefully from living with all of us becomes more confident."

"The last thing I wanted to see, and actually feared, was to see her fall in love with you. The likelihood of her returning here was so little is because she'll cram herself with study to avoid social interaction. They'll be barely an sight of her from family for months. She has tighter systematic life than we do, it's basically: sleep, eat, go to class, study, eat, shower and repeat. She's made a perfect schedule."

"And she's not willing to change that to fit in time with us?" Simon manages to mutter.

A sudden change in heart, a sudden realisation. Frankly Josh can't control her and that's what he needs to come to terms with. Even if he told them to stay away from each other what would be the chances that they'd both obey? Surely Vanessa may try but Simon is stubborn, he would do as he pleases. The only real way for Josh to keep Vanessa away from him would be to lock her up somewhere; and he doesn't want to restrict her freedom.

"I didn't think so to begin with" He replies looking back towards the doorway.

"To begin with?"

"Be careful with her"

And with that Josh leaves and Simon is left rather confused. He isn't sure if he allowed him to stay with Vanessa or not. Either way, he's not too sure he can do it. He doubting, doubting everything; it's scary.

Vik watches Vee. She sits eating cereal in silence and the bizarre thing is... It's just cornflakes. Something is wrong.

"Vee?" Vik decides to speak up. Vee glances up, but it's a glare, a deathly glare. He's the reason there is a Josh between her and Simon, it's his fault. "Can we please talk?"

Vee just stares, not answering. She looks terrible and it makes it a hell of a lot harder for him.

"I didn't know you had such relationship with Simon..." He states awkwardly. "I just thought you'd become friends and he was taking care of you and--"

"Vik stop" Josh cuts him off, coming into the kitchen, "not now" He says softly.

Vee just watches the two, no words escaping her lips. Though she wants to call them both pricks but she could never bring herself to that -- no way in hell.

Vee stands and goes to the sink, washing out her bowl. Josh comes by her side, "you can go see Simon if you like."

"I might just go for a walk" She mutters and leaves. Causing Josh to sigh tiredly, out of all the things, he doesn't want Vee to hate him.

It's a gloomy day today. Vanessa walks to the park, finding her massive tree. Some of the branches lay low so she decides to climb. She needs to escape, and up a tree is how she usually does it.

She manages to make her way up the tree, finding a comfortable branch to sit on. With that she sighs and allows her legs to dangle, looking down at them.

"Where's Vee?" Simon asks Josh.

Josh shrugs in response, "She went for a walk."

And with that Simon bolts. Though rather than going straight to her, he jumps in his car and heads towards the shops.
