The Experiment

Chapter 13

"I got it man never again." Bolt let go of his shirt and looked at him for a few seconds then turned back to me.

"You ready princess?" He smiled a little at me and my heart sped up an extra beat. It's amazing how he can go from being all scary one second to the amazing Bolt i know.

"Yup." I popped the p and we both started walking towards the back of the diner. Bolt wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. If i told you i was a bit surprised i would be telling you a lie. I was more like shocked since i forgot to step with my left foot and i almost fell. Thank goodness he caught me.

You okay?  i jumped a little hearing his voice inside my head.

Yeah i'm fine just majorly creeped out.

I know i heard him too.

You can read minds too?

Only some, I don't have the power like you do but whatever i got injected with i am only able to hear some peoples thoughts.

I nodded my head in understanding.

We grabbed our food and headed out the back door. 

"Well you put on quite the show back there." He just looked at me and chuckled.

"Yeah well i had to do what i had to do."

"yell at a guy who got a little into my personal bubble?" I gave him a questioning look and he sighed.

"Roxie i meant what i said back there. You're my girl and no guy is going to pop that personal bubble of yours as long as i am with you."

I pulled him to a stop and looked into his eyes. "Thank you." is all i said before i leaned up and kissed him. I pulled away and smiled, i started to walk but he stopped me.

"Wait a second what was that about?" He gave me a slight smirk.

"Don't make me blush bolt." I gave him a stern look but he just laughed.

"Why you look so cute when you blush. You look like a cute little tomato."  Oh hell no!

"Little?? Who the hell said i am little?" i took one step toward him.

"I did." Asshole.... i just let out a sigh and started walking to his car.

"Did you want me to say tiny?" He gave me one of his boyish smirks and i couldn't help but laugh.

"you're such an asshole." i slapped him in the arm.

"A hot asshole."  i rolled my eyes and opened the car door.

"Whatever." We both sat down and he set the food down in the back. He took out his keys and started the car. 

"You didn't deny it!" I jumped a little since he kinda screamed/yelled.

"Didn't deny what?" 

"That i was hot." he was wiggling his eyebrows and smirked.

"Can we just go now i'm starving." I put my hand on my stomach and looked up at him.

"Mmhmmm. Sure you are." He chuckled and started driving off. 

 i looked out the window and saw everything fly by at a high speed.  I imagined everything slow down to a pace where i could stop and examine everything around me. The next thing i know is we were not moving.  I looked over to Bolt to see him  not moving, not even blinking. Then i thought of him being able to experience this with me.

"Holy shit! What is happening?" it was my turn to let out a chuckle. "Roxi what did you do?"

"I thought of everything slowing down and then i thought about you being able to experience this with me." I didn't know how he was going to react because right now it could go both ways.

"Well all be damn and hold my apples this is amazing!" he was wide eyes and looking all around us.

"Hold your apples? Who even  says that?"

"I do obviously." He was still looking all around us.

"Okay then. Get ready because i got to get everything moving again cause now i'm really hungry.

He turned around so he was facing the right way and put his hands back onto the steering wheel. I pictured everything moving again and we were off.

"You are so amazing. I really hope you know that." He took a quick glance at me and then went back to the road.

"I guess i do now. Thank you." 10 minuets later we were pulling up to his abandoned apple orchard . It looked beautiful. The trees were blooming and the sun was just starting to set. There was a little fire pit in the center. "This place is so beautiful."

"It is, i love it here. Before you came this is where i would go to clear my head." He pulled out a blanket and our food. He laid out the blanket near the fire place and looked at me to join him. 

I walked over to where he was laying out the blanket and plopped down on the one side of the blanket. I looked at all of the food that was beside me. There was lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, hamburger,  sour cream, onions, and taco shells.

"I hope you don't mind but i got taco stuff for us. I know it's not the traditional thing to eat but i just like to be different."

"I don't mind at all, tacos are my favorite thing to eat." At that given moment my stomach decided to sound like a dying whale. 

"Well i guess you heard the stomach lets dig in." 

"Wait..." there was purple bolt of lightning at it touched the logs that were set up. I could feel the warmth of the fire and it felt good.

"How did you get it to be purple?"

"You're not the only one who has been practicing." We both laughed and we both started making our tacos. After i first bight into the shell i could feel his gaze on me.

"Do i have some cheese or something on my face?" I started wiping my mouth off.

"Nope." He kept looking at me. 

"Why are you looking at me light that?" 

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I dropped my taco and it was my turn to look at him.
